Lucknow University provides different undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Master of Business Administration (MBA) which is provideed via the regular and self-financed method in multiple specializations. The following specializations are provideed by the university under self-financed MBA programme:

  • Finance & Control – 120 seats
  • International Business – 60 seats
  • Marketing – 120 seats
  • HR & IR – 120 seats

In addition to MBA programme, the university also provides Master of Travel and Tourism Administration (MTTM), a two-year (60 seats) full-time programme provideed by Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS).

The University of Lucknow has commenced registration procedure for admission to the 2-year MBA programme from March 21, 2017, and the last date to submit duly filled-in applications is May 10, 2017. The tentative date of university entrance test (LUMET) is May 28, 2017.

Aspirants are shortlisted for MBA course on the basis of marks scored in the national level entrance test i.e. CAT or the university entrance test, famously known as Lucknow University Management Entrance Test (LUMET). All the aspirants who complete the entrance test, either CAT or LUMET, must appear for the interview round organizeed by the University.

Those interested can register themselves from the MBA admission portal of Lucknow University available on the official website. Aspirants should fill the application form with all the relevant details and submit it upon completion along with the prescribed application fee via online mode.

Eligibility Criteria for LU (Lucknow University) MBA Admission 2018

MBA/PGDM

Aspirants must have finished graduation in any stream with the 10+2+3 system from a recognised university. However, for SC/ST aspirants, the at least need pass percentage of marks at the graduate level will be 45%. The aspirant must also have obtained an at least 50% of marks at graduate level.


How To Apply for LU (Lucknow University) MBA Admission 2018?

Aspirants want admission to MBA programme can fill and submit an application via online method through the official university website. Students should follow the below-given steps in order to register successfully for Lucknow University MBA Admission 2017:

Step 1: Aspirants should register themselves via the online admission portal. Otherwise, they should proceed with payment of the application fees.

Step 6: After previewing, aspirants will need to submit the form and proceed for payment of the application fees. Form fees can be submitted by any of the following ways – Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking

Application fee:

  • For General and OBC aspirants – Rs. 2000/-
  • For SC and ST aspirants – Rs. 1000/-

Step 7: Finally, participants can print their finished application form and fee receipt to clear the application procedure.

Pre-requisites for filling the Application Form:

  • Valid Email ID
  • Photo ID proof
  • Caste Certificate
  • Application Fee
  • Aadhar Card
  • Income Certificate
  • High School, Intermediate and Graduation Mark sheet
  • Active Mobile Number
  • Scanned Signature (Maximum upload size is 50 KB only)
  • Scanned Photograph in JPEG pattern (Maximum upload size is 50 KB only)
If there is some mistake, they can edit these or start the entire procedure again. Participants can either opt for CAT or LUMET 2017 for admission to MBA course

Step 4: Then, participants have to select the test centres in order of preference

Step 5: Next, aspirants will be asked to upload their scanned photo and signature and preview all the entries made at this point. Upon doing so, the participants will receive their login details in the mobile number and email ID

Step 2: Then, aspirants will be asked to enter their personal details and educational qualifications

Step 3: In the next step, aspirants will be asked to select the admission mode.


Admission Procedure of LU (Lucknow University) MBA Admission 2018

MBA/PGDM

  • Generally, the admissions to MBA course would be carried out via the Lucknow University Management Entrance Test (LUMET), followed by an individual interview round. The overall merit would be calculated out of a merit score of 100.
  • Aspirants will be shortlisted to MBA programme via a National/ International level aptitude test which may consist of both written as well as oral components.
  • All aspirants who have either opted admission via CAT score or via LUMET 2017 will have to appear in the interview organizeed by the University.

Note: Aspirants who have a valid CAT can opt not to appear in the LUMET. The tentative date of entrance test is May 28, 2017.
  • Aspirants having a valid CAT score can opt to take admission via it or choose to appear for the university entrance test known as LUMET. However, they will have to appear in the individual interview.

    Their merit would be calculated on the basis of their CAT scores.  
  • The written component (CAT or LUMET) will account for a merit score of 80 while the interview will account for a merit score of 20.

  • Reservation Procedure of LU (Lucknow University) MBA Admission 2018

    As per the university guidelines, only the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes aspirants originally belonging to Uttar Pradesh will be given the benefit of reservation. Defence Personnel or Physically Handicapped Defence Personnel or Defence Personnel killed in war or Defence Personnel posted in UP.5%Son/ daughter/spouse of LU Teachers/EmployeesAs per University rules/daughter/spouse of LU affiliated Govt./Aided Colleges of LU and Govt.
