Kerala Veterinary and Animal Science University provides three undergraduate and four postgraduate programmes. It also provides Ph.D., Post Graduate Diploma, and diploma courses. KVASU has three faculties, viz. Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Faculty of Dairy Science and Faculty of Poultry Science. The University has four constituent colleges:
Admission to Ph.D. and M.V.Sc. programmes will need to appear for the entrance exam organized by the university on August 09, 2016. Selection will be based on the performance in qualifying examination & the entrance test and interview.

The admission to the Ph.D. programme is via an entrance examination and interview organized by the University. KVSAU provides Ph.D. programme in following branches: It is provideed at CVAS, Mannuthy, and Pookode in different branches. The period of the programme is three years.

The University provides KVASU Senior Research Fellowship of Rs. 5000/-per month to all students admitted and a Research grant of Rs. 50,000/- for research work.
You must have a Master’s Degree in the respective subject recognized by any University with OGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks at Master’s Degree level. Programme Information Brochure For SC/ST aspirants the OGPA shall be 7.0/10 or equivalent.MVSc

The University provides KVASU Junior Research Fellowship of Rs. 4000/-per month to all students admitted and a Research grant of Rs. 25,000/-
You must have a Bachelors degree in Veterinary and Animal Sciences recognized by the University with an OGPA of 6.0/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of 50% marks in traditional systems. For SC/ST aspirants the OGPA shall be 5.5/10 or equivalent.
You should submit applications via online only for admission to this programme. There are three following steps to apply for M.V.Sc. Take the printout of the challan and remit Rs.520/-(270/- for SC/ST aspirants) as the application fee and bank processing charges using the challan at the nearest Federal Bank counter.
Via credit card/debit card/Internet banking:-
Remit the fee at the time of submission of the application form via online payment method using credit card/debit card/Internet banking. The size of photograph and signature shall not exceed 30 kb.
After filling the application form, you should make the remittance of the application fee in any methods as given below.

When the application is submitted, a challan in triplicate (with student copy, bank copy, and University copy) will be automatically generated. and Ph.D. programmes.

You should fill the online application form available on the official website of KVASU uploading his/her passport size color photograph (150WX200H pixels) and signature (250WX90H pixels). You should remit Rs.520/-/-(270/- for SC/ST aspirants) as the application fee and bank processing charges.
After remitting application fee, you should take the print out of the online application submitted and send the same after affixing signature of the participant in the space offered and send the same with the following enclosures to

Selection shall be done on the basis of the OGPA in the qualifying exam, score in the entrance exam, experience, published articles, interview and the extracurricular activities of the aspirant.
It is organized by KVASU for admission to the Ph.D. programme. The entrance examination will be of objective type with questions on general knowledge and the subject related. The entrance exam at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy (Thrissur). The Aspirants will be considered for admission only if they secure a minimum of 40% marks (30% for SC/ST aspirants) in the entrance examination.
The originals of all certificates and documents should be produced at the time of the interview and at the time of admission.MVSc
Selection shall be done on the basis of the OGPA in the qualifying exam, score in the entrance exam, experience, interview and the extracurricular activities of the aspirant. Aspirants will be considered for admission only if they secure a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance examination. The entrance exam will be held at KVASU Headquarters, Pookode. The originals of all certificates and documents should be produced at the time of the interview and at the time of admission.Entrance examination will be of one hour period consisting of multiple choice questions. The minimum is 30% for SC/ST aspirants.
There will be a separate entrance examination and interview.
25% of the seats shall be reserved for the qualified aspirants sponsored by the ICAR based on AIEEA-Post Graduate 2016. At the time of admission, the aspirant should remit the fee for application form and registration and submit the filled in application to the University. Seats are also reserved for aspirants sponsored by the Government of Kerala from the State Department of Animal Husbandry. You will have to submit an application via online.
