Kalasalingam University or Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) received its Deemed to be University in 2006 and started functioning from the academic year 2007-08. Centre for Speech and Hearing Impairment Programme (SHIP), a part of Kalasalingam University also provides several Under Graduate programmes for differently abled aspirants.

UGC recognised and NAAC accredited, the university provides admission to different undergraduate (B.Tech., B.Arch., B.A., B.Com. etc), postgraduate (M.Tech., M.Sc., M.B.A., M.C.A. etc.) and research (Ph.D., M.Phil.) programmes in multiple branches. Admission to all the programmes will be done on the basis of aspirant’s performance in the university entrance examination. 

Applicable aspirants can apply for the related UG, Post Graduate or Research programme by downloading the application form available at the official university website. Application forms can also be obtained in person from the university admissions office or aspirants can request for it to be sent via post. Duly filled-in applications should be submitted upon completion along with the procedures fee to the university office within the stipulated time.

The following section contains detailed eligibility criteria for various courses provideed by Kalasalingam University.

B.Com & BA

The aspirant should have obtained passed HSC (10+2) qualifying examination with minimum 50% aggregate of marks.

B.Sc

The aspirant should have obtained HSC (10+2) qualifying examination with 50% marks and Mathematics as a mandatory subject.

BE/B.Tech

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)

Eligibility:

  • Students holding High School Diploma alloted by Northwest Accreditation Commission – US (NWAC-US) are applicable for B.Tech. courses by providing an equivalent certificate alloted by the association of Indian University (AIU)  
  • Aspirant should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2 Exams) of State Board, CBSE, Matric and any other Board of Education recognised by State and Central Government with an average of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

B.Tech. in Biotechnology

Eligibility:

The aspirant should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with an average of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

B.Arch

  • Aspirants must possess 40% marks in National Aptitude in Architecture
  • Aspirant should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with an average of 50% of marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

BCA

The aspirant should have obtained 10+2 qualifying examination with 50% marks and Mathematics as a mandatory subject.

M.Sc, MA & MBA/PGDM

The aspirant should possess an undergraduate/ bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.

ME/M.Tech

Note: For Lateral Entry admissions, students with average 60% marks in pre-final and final semester put together in a three-year Diploma Courses in the relevant area are applicable to apply


How to Apply for KLU (Kalasalingam University) UG, PG and Ph.D. Admissions 2018

BE/B.Tech, B.Arch & B.Sc

Aspirants can obtain the prescribed application form along with the Information Brochure in person from the university office on payment of Rs. 600/- by cash.

Application forms can also be obtained via the post by sending a request letter t the university office. Along with the letter, the aspirant should also attach the fee of Rs. 650/- drawn in favour of “Kalasalingam University” and payable at Rajapalayam.

Application forms can also be downloaded from the official university website. In such cases, a demand draft of Rs. 600/- should be attached at the time of sending finished applications to the university. Duly filled-in applications should be sent to the following address:

Note: Application Form for Under Graduate Arts courses can be obtained in person from the university office upon payment of Rs.200/- by cash or by sending a Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.250/- drawn in favour of Kalasalingam University payable at Rajapalayam to Dean (Admissions) with a request letter


Admission Procedure

B.Sc , B.Com & BA

Aspirants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination to be organizeed by the university.

BE/B.Tech

Selection of the aspirant will be done on the basis of their score in university entrance examination and performance in the qualifying examination. Students will also be admitted on the basis of marks scored in national level entrance examinations such as JEE Mains.

B.Arch

Selection of the aspirant will be done on the basis of score obtained in NATA examination organizeed by CoA and their performance in 10+2 qualifying examination.

MBA/PGDM

Aspirants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination to be organizeed by the university. Students will also be admitted on the basis of marks scored in national level entrance examinations such as CAT, TANCET etc.

ME/M.Tech

Selection of the aspirant will be done on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination of Kalasalingam University. Students will also be admitted on the basis of marks scored in national level entrance examinations such as GATE.

M.Phil/Ph.D in Science

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

Selection of the research scholars will be done on the basis of aspirant’s performance in the Entrance test and individual interview organizeed by the Department Research Committee (DRC) in January/July every year.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.)

Selection of the aspirant will be done on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination of Kalasalingam University.

  • B.Tech. degree from a recognised university with 50% marks.
