KLE University was founded in 1963 due to increasing health issues in Belgaum. Because of its infrastructure, research and healthcare services, it is ranked amongst the best institutions in the world. The University collaborates with national and international bodies such as ICMR, WHO, University of Illinois, Chicago USA, University of Missouri, Kansas City USA for teaching and research. 

The university provides undergraduate (UG) programmes under the following faculties:

  • Faculty of Nursing
  • Faculty of Ayurveda
  • Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Faculty of Dentistry
  • Faculty of Physiotherapy
  • Faculty of Medicine

Admission to all the above-mentioned programmes is done on the basis of marks scored by the aspirant in KLEU-UGAIET Exam and their qualifying degree merit. KLEU-AIET (KLE University All India Entrance Test) is a national test organizeed by university examination authority to admit aspirants in various Under Graduate programmes of the KLE University.

Aspirants can register themselves via the online application procedure and submit finished forms along with the prescribed application fee of Rs.2200/- to appear for the university entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for KLE University Belgaum, MBBS, BDS and B.Pharm Admissions 2018

MBBS

  • The aspirant must have passed the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology personally with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taking together in examination i.e. PUC II/HSC/10+2 or equivalent.
  • The aspirant must have passed HSC examination PUC II/HSC or ICSE or any other equivalent 10+2/HSC examination recognised from any Indian/abroad school/college after 12 years of study.
  • The aspirant must have passed Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in KLEU-UGAIET Exam with minimum 50% marks.

BDS

  • The aspirant must have passed HSC examination PUC II/HSC or ICSE or any other equivalent 10+2/HSC examination recognised from any Indian/abroad school/college after 12 years of study.
  • Aspirant must have passed Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in KLEU-UGAIET exam with minimum 50% marks
  • The aspirant must have passed English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology personally with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taking together in examination i.e. PUC II/HSC/10+2 or equivalent.

B.Pharm

  • Aspirants who possess 2 years lateral entry in B. Pharm from PCI approved institute must have at least 50% of marks.
  • Aspirants who have scored 40% marks in 10+2 but have finished B.Sc. degree with chemistry as mandatory subject with combination of any two of the following subjects: Physics or Mathematics or Microbiology or Botany or Zoology or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Electronics.5% relaxation is offered in at least eligibility criteria to aspirants who belong to reserved category
  • The aspirant must have passed 2 years PUC examination of Karnataka or equivalent examination of any board or university with Physics, Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with one of Mathematics/ Computer Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biology or PCMB with minimum 40% marks.
Pharm or D.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy(BPT)

  • The aspirant must have passed English with at least 40% marks in PCB in 10+2. 5% relaxation is offered in at least eligibility criteria for SC/ST aspirants

BAMS

  • Aspirant must have passed English with at least 50% aggregate of marks in PCB in 10+2

B.Sc (Nursing)

  • The aspirant must be physically fit and certificates should alloted by Registered Medical Practitioner.
  • The aspirant must have passed English with at least 40% and above marks in PCB in 10+2 qualifying examination. 5% relaxation is offered in at least eligibility criteria for SC/ST aspirants.

Aspirants will be selected for Under Graduate programmes on the basis of marks obtained in the university entrance examination i.e. KLEU-UGAIET and the qualifying degree examination


Reservation Criteria for KLE University Belgaum, MBBS, BDS and B.Pharm Admissions 2018

  • 2.5% seats are reserved for children of faculty of KLE University
  • 7.5% seats are reserved for aspirants belonging to backward Belagavi Revenue Division (BRD Category) consisting of districts of Belagavi and their parents should be permanent residents of at least 10 years and aspirant should have done minimum 10 years of schooling from any of the Belagavi district.
  • 15% seats are reserved for management category including NRI and foreign aspirants.
