KIIT University offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of computer application. Apart from the regular BCA and MCA program, the university also provides Lateral MCA program.

The application form for both MCA and BCA programs can be obtained from the official website of the university. The university generally offers a three month’s window for aspirants to clear the application procedure. The admission to both BCA and MCA (regular and lateral) program is via an entrance test.

Aspirants who have successfully finished their higher secondary certificate examination can apply for BCA. In case of lateral entry in MCA, the aspirant must possess BCA or B.Sc. in IT/Computer Science/IST/ITM. For MCA, an aspirant must possess a graduate degree in a relevant branch of Mathematics.

Eligibility Criteria for KIIT University Bhubaneswar BCA and MCA Admission 2018

BCA

  • The aspirant must pass in 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% marks from this with Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level.
  • The aspirant should be born on or after 01.07.1996.

MCA

Duration: 3 years

  • The aspirant should be born on or after 01.07.1993.
  • Aspirant must possess any graduate degree with at least 50% marks in graduation or equivalent having mathematics either in 10+2 or graduation level as one of the subjects

MCA (Lateral Entry) (Period 2 years)

Eligibility

  • The aspirant must be born on or after 01.07.1993. 
  • Aspirants must have passed or are appearing in BCA or B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science/IST/ITM) with at least 50% marks.


How to Apply for KIIT University Bhubaneswar BCA and MCA Admission 2018

The application procedure for KIITEE is majorly online, however, aspirants can also download the application form and submit it to the university. The steps to fill online application form is given below:

  1. Visit KIIT Official website.
  2. Click on the Admission 2017 tab on the home page.
  3. Click on “Apply Online”.
  4. Fill the application form.
  5. There is no application fee need to fill KIITEE application form.
  6. Take a printout of the filled in application form.
  7. Paste recent passport size colour photograph on the space offered.
  8. Sign on “Signature” column offered for both student and Parent/guardian.
  9. Send the application form along with two passport size colour photographs, a copy of 10th Pass Certificate/Mark sheet to the following address.

Selection Procedure of KIIT University Bhubaneswar BCA and MCA Admission 2018

BCA

The entrance test for BCA constitutes of 120  questions. The section-wise breakup of questions is given below:

The questions will be objective in nature. There will be 4 sections in the test paper – Mathematical Ability, Analytical & Logical Ability, Verbal Ability, and General Knowledge.

MCA

MCA & MCA Lateral Entry

The entrance test for MCA and MCA Lateral Entry will be objective in nature. There will be 120 questions. There will be three sections in the question paper – Mathematical Ability, Analytical and Logical ability, and Computer Awareness. Questions in Mathematical ability will be of 10+2 standard. The section-wise number of questions asked in MCA entrance is given below:

  • 15% and 7.5% of KIITEE-2016 quota seats will be reserved for Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe

    Counseling Procedure of KIIT University Bhubaneswar BCA and MCA Admission 2018

    KIIT university organizes counseling procedure for admission to BCA and MCA after the results for entrance exam is declared. An aspirant must carry the following documents for counseling procedure: Aspirants who score marks equal to or above the cutoff marks will be called for the counseling procedure. Based on the availability of seats and number of aspirants appearing in the entrance exam, the university will declare cutoff marks.
