KIIT M.SC. & B.Sc. Nursing Admission 2018

KIIT is not limited to the fields of technology and provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different other branches. B.Sc. Nursing is a 4 year program, while M.Sc. Nursing is a 2 year program. The institute provides both B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Nursing.

The application procedure for both the courses begins in December. The selection of aspirants for admission is done via KIITEE, an entrance exam organized by the Institute for different courses. The application form can be obtained from the official KIIT website.

For application to B.Sc., an aspirant must have passed 10+2 in Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects. In case of M.Sc. Nursing, the aspirant must have a B.Sc. degree in Nursing with relevant experience.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc (Nursing)

Period of the course: 4 years

  • The aspirants must have passed HSC/equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English minimum 45  percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for general category aspirants and 40 percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for SC/ST aspirants.
  • Lower age should be 17 years as on 31.12.17 & upper age limit should be maximum 35 years as on 31.12.17.
  • The aspirant must qualify the entrance examination organized by the KIIT.

M.Sc (Nursing)

Period of the course: 2 years

  • The Aspirant should have undergone in B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc.Hons.Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing in an institution which is recognised by Indian Nursing Council.
  • The at least education requirements shall be passing of B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc Hons.Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with at least of 55% aggregate marks.(5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST aspirants)
  • The aspirant must qualify the entrance examination organized by KIIT.
  • The Aspirant should be a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • The aspirant should be medically fit.
  • At Least one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc Nursing.

How to Apply

Aspirants must apply for admission by filling in and submitting the finished online application before the last date. Sc Nursing )/ Mark sheet/grade card of B.Sc.Nursing( for M.Sc. Nursing ) and other relevant documents in support of the application
  • Submit the application form online
  • The aspirant must keep the Xerox copy of the finished applications for subsequent use.
  • The aspirant can obtain Admission Application Form by downloading from www.kiitee.ac.in.All fields of the application form should be correctly and clearly filled-in with the relevant information.

    The aspirant should log on to the website and follow the steps given below:

    1. Registration with necessary details and remember the self-created log-in ID and password for future log-in.
    2. Fill the application form with the need details
    3. Upload the scanned copy of  Recent passport sized colored photograph of the aspirant, Full signature of the aspirant, Age proof (Hall Ticket of 10th standard examination) or birth certificate, Mark sheet/grade card of HSC  (for B.

    Admission Procedure

    The selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the aspirant in the entrance examination organized by the institute followed by counseling. Aspirants who score marks more than the cutoff marks will be called for counseling procedure. The entrance test for B.Sc. Nursing will have 40 objective questions from 10+2 level Biology syllabus. In case of M.Sc. Nursing, there will be 120 objective type questions from B.Sc. Nursing syllabus.

    After the result declaration, KIIT will declare cutoff marks based on the number of vacant seats and participants to the program. For the counseling session, aspirants obligatory to bring along the original and Xerox copies of the following documents:

    The aspirant should bring following important documents in original and their photocopies positively for verification during counseling:

    1. Transfer Certificate   
    2. Community Certificate (For OC aspirants community certificate not need)   
    3. Certificates for Special categories, if need      
    4. Nativity Certificate if need   
    5.  Date of Birth Certificate (SSC / ICSE / CBSE).
    6. Medical certificate
    7. Hall Ticket of KIITEE-2016.
    8. KIITEE rank card
    9. Admit card of 10th standard examination/ Birth certificate
    10. Mark sheet and certificate of 10th standard Board examination
    11. Mark sheet and certificate (if available) of 10+2 standard Board examination
    12. Mark sheet of qualifying degree
    13. Other relevant documents
