KIIT MCA and BCA Admission 2018

KIIT offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of computer application. Apart from the regular BCA and MCA program, the institute also provides Lateral MCA program.

The application form for both MCA and BCA programs can be obtained from the official institute website. The admission to both BCA and MCA (regular and lateral) program is via an entrance test. KIIT generally offers a registration window for the aspirants to clear the application procedure.

Aspirants who have successfully finished their higher secondary certificate examination can apply for BCA. For MCA, an aspirant must possess a graduate degree in a relevant branch of Mathematics. In case of lateral entry in MCA, the aspirant must possess BCA or B.Sc. in IT/Computer Science/IST/ITM.

Eligibility Criteria


  • The aspirant should be born on or after 01.07.1996.
  • The aspirant must pass in 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% marks from this with Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level.


Period: 3 years

  • Aspirant must possess any graduate degree with at least 50% marks in graduation or equivalent having mathematics either in 10+2 or graduation level as one of the subjects
  • The aspirant should be born on or after 01.07.1993.

MCA (Lateral Entry) (Period 2 years)


  • Aspirants must have passed or are appearing in BCA or B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science/IST/ITM) with at least 50% marks.
  • The aspirant must be born on or after 01.07.1993. 

How to Apply

The application procedure for KIITEE is online, however, aspirants can also download the application form and submit it to the institute. The steps to fill online application form is given below:

  1. Visit KIIT Official website.
  2. Click on the Admission 2017 tab on the home page.
  3. Click on “Apply Online”.
  4. Fill the application form.
  5. There is no application fee need to fill KIITEE application form.
  6. Take the printout of the filled in application form.
  7. Paste recent passport size color photograph in the space offered.
  8. Sign on “Signature” column offered for both student and Parent/guardian.
  9. Send the application form along with two passport size color photographs, the copy of 10th Pass Certificate/Mark sheet to the following address.

Selection Procedure


The entrance test for BCA constitutes of 120  questions. The section-wise breakup of questions is given below: The questions will be objective in nature. There will be 4 sections in the test paper – Mathematical Ability, Analytical & Logical Ability, Verbal Ability, and General Knowledge.

MCA & MCA Lateral Entry

The entrance test for MCA and MCA Lateral Entry will be objective in nature. The section-wise number of questions asked in MCA entrance is given below: There will be three sections in the question paper – Mathematical Ability, Analytical and Logical ability, and Computer Awareness. There will be 120 questions. Questions in Mathematical ability will be of 10+2 standard.

  • 15% and 7.5% of KIITEE-2016 quota seats will be reserved for Schedule Caste & Scheduled Tribe
  • 3% of KIITEE-2016 will be reserved for PC aspirants. Women category aspirants30%

    Counseling Procedure

    KIIT organizes counseling procedure for admission to BCA and MCA after the results for entrance exam is declared. An aspirant must carry the following documents for counseling procedure: Aspirants who score marks equal to or above the cutoff marks will be called for the counseling procedure. Based on the availability of seats and number of aspirants appearing in the entrance exam, KIIT will declare cutoff marks.

    3. 10th pass certificate
    4. 12th pass certificate
    5. Graduation mark sheet and pass certificate for MCA
    6. Reservation certificate allotted by a competent authority
    7. Demand Draft of 75,000 INR which also comprises 10,000 INR counselling and registration fee in favor of KIIT, payable at Bhubaneshwar.
