Students who seeking to take admission in Kerala University’s technology & Architecture courses can apply for the entrance test conducted by Kerala state. Students can opt for any government or private college affiliated to the University of KeralaKerala Engineering, Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM) is the only way out for B. Tech aspiring students. This test has been organized for a month of April every year on various dates by Kerala state authorities.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is the test for B. Arch. Course which has been conducted by Council of Architecture (COA) every year in between month of April & August.

  • Students must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or 12th Standard V.H.S.E., C.B.S.E., I.S.C. or any examination accepted by the university as equivalent with not less than 50% in Mathematics and 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology collectively.
  • Students must have passed diploma in Engineering honored by the Board of Technical Education, Kerala or equivalent examination after undergoing an institutional course of minimum three years securing an at least of 50 % marks in the final diploma examination.

B.Arch

Duration: 5 years

Seat: 120

Eligibility:

  • Or Diploma in Engineering honored by the Board of Technical Education, Kerala or an examination after undergoing an institutional course of minimum three years with at least of 50% marks in the final diploma examination.
  • Students looking for admission in B. Arch. course must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or 12th standard V.H.S.E, C.B.S.E, I.C.S.E or the equivalent examination accepted with Mathematics as an optional subject and with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
  •  Or International Baccalaureate Diploma, after ten years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as the mandatory subject of examination.

Kerala University B. Arch. & B.Tech. Admission 2018 How to Apply

There is a separate selection procedure for B.Arch. & B.Tech. Course, which you can find below:

BE/B.Tech

You should apply for KEAM only via the online method on the official website of CEE, Kerala. There are seven steps for online submission application. You should clear all steps and send a printout filled application form with necessary documents to CEE, Kerala on or before last date of form submission. Visit the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in and find the link “KEAM Online Application”.

Step 1 Aspirant Registration: This is a one-time procedure. You should fill all need details and click on submit button and after submission, an application number will be generated by the system.

Step 2 Aspirant Login: With the help of Application no and password, you can log in and clear all other steps.

Step 3 Fill Application Form: Fill all basic details and you should click the ‘Save’ button to save the entries made so far before proceeding to Step 4.

Step 4 Final Submission of Application Form: This is also a onetime procedure. If you are sure that the information offered in step 3 is correct, click the link ‘Final Submission’. No correction of the application will be possible after final Submission of application in step 4.

Step 5 Payment of Application Fee: You can pay application fee via two following methods

  • Via Demand Draft: You can pay application fee via Demand Draft (DD) drawn on a Nationalized/Scheduled Bank, in favor of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
  • Via Security Card: You can obtain security card from selected post offices in Kerala and other states, on payment of the prescribed fee by cash. Security card is free of cost for ST aspirants.

Application Fee:

  • For General Aspirants: INR 1000/-
  • For ST Aspirants: No Application Fee
  • For SC Aspirants: INR 500/-

Step 6 Printout of Application Form: You should take a printout of the online submitted application.

Step 7 Send the printout of Application: Affix a photograph of the participant with 3.5 x 4.5 cm size same as the photograph uploaded on the online application duly attested by the Head of the Institution which you studied last or by a Gazetted Officer. You should affix the left-hand thumb impression in the space offered in the printout of the application.The participant and parent should sign in the specified areas on the printout of the application and attach supporting documents/certificates and send to following address:

B.Arch

  • After registration students will have to fill the online application form by providing their basic details like name, qualification, photograph & signature.
  •  
  • Students looking for admission in Architecture course can apply in online method from NATA official website.
  • After navigating to the official address students will have to register themselves by providing their e-mail & password.
  • After fee payment download the pre-filled application form & take it to the nearest center prescribed by NATA. They will give you a recruitment voucher with respect to the availability of the schedule of examination.
  • After completion student can choose the option ‘Purchase the form’ for online or offline (via challan from any ICICI bank discipline) fee payment of INR 1250.

Kerala University B. Arch. & B.Tech. Admission Procedure 2018

University of Kerala has various selection procedure for admission in Engineering & Architecture courses. Process for the same has been mentioned below:

BE/B.Tech

Colleges will be allotted to the students on the basis of their performance in KEAM. As a part of a selection procedure, KEAM qualified students have to attend the counseling session which will be conducted by the Government of Kerala after releasement of the result. Seats will be finalized only on the basis of choices made by you at the time of counseling & rank secured in KEAM.

Selected students will have to carry the seat allocation letter to the respective allotted college.

B.Arch

All Admissions to Architecture degree course shall be subject to the passing of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) organized by the Council of Architecture. No lateral admission shall be permitted as per the at least standards of Architectural Education Regulations 1983 of Council of Architecture and AICTE notification, July 1992.
