B.Sc.- M.Sc. (Integrated) Biotechnology is provideed by the College of Agriculture, Vellayani and B.Sc.- M.Sc. (Integrated) Climate Change is provideed by ACCER, Main Campus in Vellanikkara.
Admission to these 5 years integrated courses happen via the entrance exam organizeed by the university and requires the aspirants to have passed their 10+2 with an at least of 60% in the Science stream. The written test will happen on July 10, 2018 (tentative).
The KAU provides this 5-year programme in two subjects:
The Biotechnology course is provideed at the College of Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram while the M.Sc. Climate Change Adaptation course is provideed at ACCER, Main Campus, Thrissur.

You should have qualified your high school and intermediate examinations, i.e., 10+2 with an at least percentage of 60 (for the general category) with the subject background in Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). The students should have received their education either under C.B.S.E or an equivalent board. There is a relaxation of 10% for students of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, i.e. 50 %.
The admission to this programme clearly depends on the student’s performance in the entrance examination.
It is necessary to note that students with a background in PCM, i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology can only apply for the Climate Change programme.
The aspirants applying for this programme should ensure the completion of their qualifying examinations before the last date of the submission of the online application to the course.
Age Limit: You should have finished 17 years of age as on July 10, 2018 (tentative) which is the last date for the submission of the online application.
You can begin applying for this course from May 10, 2018 (tentative) but ensure that clear your application procedure by June 10, 2018 (tentative).
For General aspirants: INR 1000/-
For SC/ST aspirants: INR 500/-
Step by step application procedure:
Step 1: Login to the official website of KAU in order to fill out the application.
Step 2: Register on the website. The Ministry of Education would henceforth arrange for the admission via ICAR. Fill in the details cautiously regarding the course details, name, address, age, centre, course name, etc.
Step 5: Ensure that all the data that has been registered is authentic and is correct. In Union Territories of Andaman/Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands, seats are reserved for ethnic natives of those states. This should access the following address on or before June 15, 2018:

You will need to produce all the original documents during the time of admission, failing which can result in the forfeiture of admission to the university.
In Case of Foreign Students:
The Foreign students should apply via their respective embassy/mission. Remember to attach the Pay-in-Slip/ original Demand Draft with the print out of the application. Proceed to make the final submission of the form.
Step 6: Make the payment.
Step 7: Print out the application form and self-attested copies of certificates that act as proof of age, educational qualifications and experience, community and income certificates in case of aspirants who are claiming reservation to the course. The eligibility certificate alloted by the University will be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs to convert the tourist visa into a student’s visa.
In Case of Out of State Students:
If you seek to apply from another state than Kerala, you should apply to ICAR, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi via your respective state government. It is compulsory for the student’s VISA to be approved by the Government of India for a student VISA and not a tourist VISA. No restrictions will be imposed on the students apart from the ones prescribed with regards to the qualifying examination and percentage and other general requirements.

Step 4: Fill in the application form.
Admission to B.Sc.-M.Sc. Integrated course depends on the entrance examination organizeed by KAU. The allocation to this course will depend upon the rank that will be published by the University on July 18, 2018 (tentative).The questions asked in this entrance exam will be objective type and will refer to your 10+2 syllabus.
There are 20 seats provideed in both Biotechnology and ACCER and are divided as follows:

If any seat of the reserved quota is not occupied then the seat will be automatically added to the State Merit. The seat that is un-availed by the SC aspirants will go to ST category and vice-versa.
The communal reservations will be allowed only to the aspirants applying as natives of Kerela.
