Kakatiya University was established in 1976 in Warangal, Telangana to fulfil the aspirations of the Telangana people for higher education. The University was initially accredited with B+ grade by the NAAC in 2002 and reaccredited with A grade in 2008. Located in a sprawling area of about 650 acres, the university presently provides programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Computer Science, Business Management, Education, Science, Arts, Commerce, Oriental courses in the University, constituent and affiliated colleges

With 24 departments in four colleges on the campus in addition to a network of 11 constituent colleges and 471 affiliated colleges, the university provides the following undergraduate programmes in multiple branches:

  • B.Sc.
  • BBA
  • B.Com.
  • B.Lib.Sc

Students who have passed 10+2 (HSC) Examination from a recognised board of education are applicable to apply for admission to the Under Graduate courses. Aspirants will be shortlisted for admission to the Post Graduate courses on the basis of their qualifying examination merit.

Aspirants can register themselves to the Under Graduate courses via online method from the official Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) website. Along with finished applications, students must submit the registration fee of Rs. 100/- via an online payment gateway.

Eligibility for Kakatiya University Undergraduate Admissions 2018

BA , B.Com & B.Ed

  • Aspirants want admission to B.Sc. I year course should have passed and secured an aggregate of 40% marks (a Pass Percentage in case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes) in the related Science Subjects (i.e. Physical Sciences and Mathematics OR Physical Sciences, and Biological Sciences as the case may be) at the qualifying examination.
  • Aspirants want admission to BSW course should have secured not less than 40% marks in aggregate at the qualifying examination
  • Aspirants who have passed qualifying examination with Science /Arts / Commerce subjects are applicable for admission to B.A./B.Com.(Gen / Computers/ Comp. Appln.) / BSW / BBA / BBM/BCA courses
  • Aspirants who have passed Intermediate (Vocational) Medical Lab Technology Course from Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State/or from any other state equivalent to it are applicable for admission into B.A. /B.Com courses only. However, those who are holding ‘Bridge course’ along with Intermediate (Vocational) Medical Lab Technology are applicable for B.Sc. courses.
  • Aspirants, who have passed Intermediate(Vocational) courses from Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State and +2 examination organizeed by Boards other than Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana State ICSE and CBSE, shall submit Eligibility Certificate alloted by Board of Intermediate, Telangana State
  • Aspirants must have passed Two-year Intermediate Examination organizeed by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State OR an Examination of any other University/ Board recognised as equivalent thereto (other than Pre-Degree course in Oriental Languages of OU.

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib]

  • Aspirants must have passed Two-year Intermediate Examination organizeed by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State OR an Examination of any other University/ Board recognised as equivalent thereto (other than Pre-Degree course in Oriental Languages of OU.
  • Aspirants, who have passed Intermediate(Vocational) courses from Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State and +2 examination organizeed by Boards other than Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana State ICSE and CBSE, shall submit Eligibility Certificate alloted by Board of Intermediate, Telangana State

How To Apply to Kakatiya University Undergraduate Admissions 2018

BA , B.Com & B.Ed

  • All the students, who applied under special category ie., NCC, NSS, Sports, CAP should get their certificates verified at helpline centres of the respective Universities.
  • Aspirants must fill the "Student Details Form" and pay Rs.100/- as application fee to register for admission in Kakatiya University. Those want admission may apply for an unlimited number of colleges within a university and for more than one combination within the permitted undergraduate programme.


Admission Procedure

BA , B.Com & B.Ed

Admissions to Ist year of the 3-year Degree courses will be made on the basis of merit as per the aggregate marks secured by the aspirants at the qualifying examination in one attempt.
