Kakatiya University was established in 1976 in Warangal, Telangana to fulfill the aspirations of the Telangana people for higher education. The University was initially accredited with B+ grade by the NAAC in 2002 and reaccredited with A grade in 2008. Located in a sprawling area of about 650 acres, the university presently provides programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Computer Science, Business Management, Education, Science, Arts, Commerce, Oriental courses in the University, constituent and affiliated colleges.
With 24 departments in four colleges on the campus in addition to a network of 11 constituent colleges and 471 affiliated colleges, the university provides the following postgraduate programmes in multiple branches:
Aspirants will be shortlisted for admission to the Post Graduate courses on the basis of their performance in KUPGCET i.e. “Kakatiya University PG Common Entrance Test” organized by the university.
Aspirants can register themselves for the Post Graduate courses by submitting finished online applications along with the application fee amount of Rs. 400/- and Rs. 300/- (for aspirants belonging to SC/ST/PH category) The registration fee may be paid at any TS/AP Online centers or via online payment gateway (credited/Debit cards) / Net Banking.

Aspirants must have obtained minimum 40% marks in English Literature under Part – II (at least pass marks for SC, ST aspirants); or 50% or more marks in General English under Part – I (at least pass marks for SC, ST aspirants) at BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BBM of Kakatiya University or any other degree recognised as equivalent by Kakatiya University.
Master of Arts [MA] (Economics)
Aspirants must have passed B.A. degree examination organized by Kakatiya University or an examination recognized as equivalent by the Kakatiya University, with the subject Economics at B.A. degree legal. The aspirant is intending to appear for the Entrance Test and they must have secured minimum 40% marks in the subject related to the qualifying examination (only pass marks for SC/ST).
Master of Arts [MA] (Public Administration)
Aspirants must have passed B.A. degree examination organized by Kakatiya University or an examination recognised as equivalent by the Kakatiya University, with the subject Pub. The aspirant is intending to appear for the Entrance Test and they must have secured minimum 40% marks in the subject related to the qualifying examination (only pass marks for SC/ST). Admn at the degree level.
Master of Arts [MA] (Political Science)
Aspirants must have passed B.A. (Pol. Science) degree examination organized by Kakatiya University or an examination recognised as equivalent by the Kakatiya University, with the subject, the aspirant is intending to appear for the Entrance Test and they must have secured minimum 40% marks in the subject related to the qualifying examination (only pass marks for SC/ST).
Master of Arts [MA] (History)
Aspirants must have passed B.A. degree examination organized by Kakatiya University or an examination recognised as equivalent by the Kakatiya University, with the subject, the aspirant is intending to appear for the Entrance Test and they must have secured minimum 40% marks in the subject related to the qualifying examination (only pass marks for SC/ST).
Master of Human Resource Management [MHRM]
Aspirants must have passed any Degree organized by the Kakatiya University or an examination recognised as equivalent by Kakatiya University with an aggregate of 40% marks in qualifying examination (only pass marks for SC/ST).
Master of Social Work [MSW]
Aspirants should have obtained minimum 55% Marks in the B.Ed. the degree of Kakatiya University or any other universities recognised as equivalent by the Kakatiya University.
Master of Tourism Management [MTM]
Aspirants must have passed any Degree organized by the Kakatiya University or an examination recognised as equivalent by Kakatiya University with an aggregate of 40% marks in qualifying examination (only pass for SC/ST).
Master of Physical Education [M.P.Ed]
Aspirants who have obtained minimum 55% marks in the B.P.Ed. the degree of Kakatiya University or any other universities recognised as equivalent by the Kakatiya University / or B.Sc. degree in Physical Education, Health Education and sports are applicable for admission. However, at least pass percentage of marks in need for SC / ST aspirants
Master of Communication & Journalism (MCJ)
Aspirants must have passed any Degree organized by the Kakatiya University or an examination recognised as equivalent by Kakatiya University with an aggregate of 40% marks in qualifying examination (only pass marks for SC/ST).
Master of Library and Information Science [M.Lib.I.Sc]
The aspirant should have passed B.L.I.Sc. Degree (one year course) of Kakatiya University or any other University recognised as equivalent by Kakatiya University.
