Jadavpur University provides 15 M.Phil. courses in various subjects via several departments and 11 Ph.D. Courses. The University even provides several postgraduate and professional courses. There is also a provision for continuation of Ph.D. after completing M.Phil. from this university.
The last date for submission of Application form for M.Phil. The program is May 17, 2017. The application forms for Ph.D. The program can be submitted from April 25, 2017, to May 13, 2017.
The admission to the above-mentioned courses is done via Admission Test organizeed by the different departments of the University, including the Interview for many programs.

The application procedure is clearly online and the duly filled Application Forms must be submitted by May 17, 2017. The form can be accessed on the University website. Arts Building, Ground Floor, Jadavpur University,

Please note down this, you will require this No. Otherwise, a waiver from WRET and/or course-work shall not be granted.Application Fee: You should pay the Application fee of Rs. 500 via a Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, Jadavpur University, payable at Kolkata.
The duly signed Application form along with the need enclosures must be submitted to the following address:

U.G. For each department that you apply for, you will be generated a various Application number. If you are not sure about the meaning of any box, place the cursor over that box, and a Tool Tip box will appear. You have to offer this information only once, regardless of how many departments you apply for.
Online Application: The entire Application procedure includes primarily of three steps.
Step 1: First, you must log in and enter your individual and educational information here. You should then upload the SB Collect Reference No (starting with DU) in this website, and click on submit.
Ph.D. Program:
Aspirants should apply in the prescribed form available on the website. The duly filled in Application form must be submitted by April 25, 2017.

Step 2: You will now need to select the department you wish to apply for. If you are applicable, click the Apply button. Before applying you can review the eligibility criteria from the link on the top right corner. You must note down that Application number.
Step 3: In the Main Page you will get the link for online payment of Application Fee of Rs. 500 which can be made online through SBI I-Collect system in any of the following modes:
Now you required to go to the link and pay the Application Fees using Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card. Now click Submit button to save your data. You will then get a unique number.

Note:
The Admission Test for M.Phil. The program will be organizeed by the respective departments. Aspirants who have done M.Phil. Program or have qualified in the NET/SET/GATE/Teacher Fellow or any other examination shall be exempted from giving the Written Test and will have to straight appear in the Interview.
For the Interview to the Ph.D. Program, the aspirant will need to submit a Statement of Purpose relevant to his/her intended field of research, with not more than 500 words.
The Admission Test for Ph.D. The program will also be organizeed by the respective Departments.

The reservation criteria will apply only to those aspirants domiciled in the state of West Bengal. It should be alloted by the competent authority that completely indicates:
For OBC Category: The aspirants who will be provisionally selected under the OBC- A and OBC- B categories must produce an OBC certificate at the time of counseling/ admission, whose date of issue should not be previous than June 2015. It will be based on the policy followed by the state government rules.
For PWD: Persons with 40% or more disability will only be considered for admission under PD category under PWD.
