JSS University was founded in 1954 which is presently running more than 300 institutions from primary to postgraduate and research programmes in the field of Medical Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Arts & Science, Law, Management, etc. Graduate and post graduate programmes of the university are recognised by Medical Council of India.
University provides undergraduate (UG) programmes in different branches mentioned below:
Undergraduate courses:
BDS – (4 years + 1 year of internship)
MBBS – (4½ years)
Admission to the above-mentioned MBBS programmes is organizeed via COMED – K UGET and for admission to BDS programme is via entrance exam organizeed by the university.
COMEDK UGET 2018 abbreviated as “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka undergraduate entrance test” is an online computer based test which will be held at many centres across the country.
Aspirants can register themselves via online application procedure. Upon submitting the prescribed application fees of Rs. 2000/- for MBBS programme and for BDS programme, aspirants have to submit Rs. 1000/-.

MBBS
Eligibility
Aspirants must have passed 10+2 / PUC II / HSC or ICSE of any recognised board/university from school/college in India/Abroad after 12 years of study and last year study includes Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) with English as a mandatory subject.
Aspirants who belong to GC category must have passed the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English personally with at least 50% (40% for SC/ST)s marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology taken together and also a pass in the English language is a need.
Aspirants must have secured 50% (40% for SC/ST) in common entrance test COMED - K - UGET-2018.
BDS
Eligibility
Aspirants who belong to GC category must have passed the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English personally with at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology taken together and also a pass in the English language is needed.

Age limit eligibility
Aspirants’ age should be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the MBBS and BDS course.
Application Procedure for JSS University MBBS and BDS Admissions 2018
MBBS & BDS
Aspirants can register themselves by download online application form via university website www.jssuni.edu.in and should send the application form along with procedures fees of Rs.2000/- for MBBS and Rs. 1000/- for BDS via DD in favour of JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSURU payable at MYSURU.
Aspirants can also obtain application form and Brochure by sending an application fee of Rs.200/- by way of DD in favour of JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSURU payable at MYSURU.

Selection Procedure for JSS University MBBS and BDS Admissions 2018
BDS & MBBS
Aspirants are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the university entrance examination i.e. COMED - K - UGET-2018 for MBBS and entrance exam for BDS.
Reservation of JSS (Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara) University MBBS and BDS Admissions 2018
For MBBS
5% of the seats are reserved for Institutional preference.
15% of total seats ar3e reserved for NRI / Foreign National/ PIO.
For BDS:
5% of the seats are reserved for Institutional preference.
15% of total seats are reserved for NRI / Foreign National/ PIO.
80% of total seats will be admitted to BDS course in the constituent college of JSS University.
Notes
Application received after the last date will be rejected.
The application form should be submitted as “Download Hard Copy” only.
Hostel
Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls and hostel fees are charged separately.
