JNTU Anantapur invites aspirants to join their different specializations provideed under M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses.Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is the new name of 'The College of Engineering, Vishakhapatnam' which was founded in 1946. The university holds an entrance test 'APICET' to select the students for their M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses. The aspiring aspirant must have a bachelor's degree and should score above 25% in APICET. JNTU Anantapur started functioning in 2008 from one of its constituent colleges. The test has 200 questions and has English and Telugu as mediums.


The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) is organizeed by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE for admissions to their M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses. The payment has to be made by demand draft in favour of 'The Convener, APICET – 2018' payable at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam via Nationalized Bank. The test consists of 200 questions of 1 mark each. The test has 3 sections. at 12:30 P.M. section A is for Analytical Ability (75 marks), section B is Mathematical Ability (75 marks), and section C is Communication Ability (50 marks). The test is 150 minutes (2½ hours) long. The medium for the exam will be English for section C, and English and Telugu for sections A and B. at various centres. After the declaration of result, the aspirants can demand the re-verification of their result by paying a fee of Rs. 1,000/-. The test will be organizeed from 10:00 A.M.

Fee: Rs. 30,000/- P.A.  - For Government Seats

         Rs. 74,000/- P.A. - For Management Quota Seats


  • The aspirants should be an Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh State Educational Institutions.
  • The aspirants who are not Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the related university.
  • The aspirant should have Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level and/or 10+2 level.
  • The aspirant should have scored an at least of 25% marks in APICET.
  • In case the Bachelor's Degree is obtained through distance education mode, the degree should be recognised by a joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.
  • The aspirants in the final year of their degree course are also applicable to apply.
  • The aspirant should have a Bachelor's Degree of at least 3 years with minimum 50% (45% for reserved categories) marks.

Note: For SC/ST and other reserved categories, no at least qualifying percentage is needed.

Application Procedure for JNTU Anantapur MBA and MCA Admissions 2018


  • The application form can be obtained and submitted online only. The aspirants can login using this ID and fill and submit their application form.
  • Debit/Credit Card*: In case the aspirant seekings to use net banking or debit/credit card, he/she can fill the form and then make the payment.
  • Once the form is submitted, the aspirant can only make any need correction by writing a letter to the Convener.
  • The aspirants do not need to upload any certificate etc.
  • After filling the form and uploading the scanned copies of their passport size photo and signature, the aspirants can submit their forms.

Note: While paying via debit/credit card, do not press back/refresh or close the window during the payment as it can cancel the payment.

There are no designated centres to offer or accept application forms.
  • after opening the online application portal, the aspirants can pay the registration fee of Rs. 350/- via one of the two modes: AP online, or via debit/credit card.
  • AP Online: The aspirant can visit any of the 1,732 online payment centres in Andhra Pradesh. The aspirants can pay the fee in these centres and receive a 'Transaction ID'.

    • In case there is a tie in the ranks, it is resolved by:
      1. Comparing the marks scored in Section – A.
      2. If the scores are still tied, the marks scored in Section – B are compared.
      3. If the tie persists, the aspirant who is older will be selected.
    • After the declaration of APICET result, the University releases counseling dates for the applicable aspirants who get selected on the basis of their ranks.
    • The selection for M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses is based on the rank/marks scored by the aspirant in APICET.
    • Holding a rank alone does not guarantee admission. The aspirant has to appear for counseling and must have all documents verified.
