JNTU Anantapur B.Tech and B.Pharm Admissions 2018

JNTU Anantapur invites aspirants to join their different specializations provided in M.Tech and M.Pharm courses. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is the new name of 'The College of Engineering, Vishakhapatnam' which was founded in 1946. It became a constituent college of the university in 1972. JNTU Anantapur started functioning in 2008 from one of its constituent colleges. It is one of the most highly ranked technical universities of the country, coming up with different schemes to offer quality education to the students.

The university holds an entrance test, 'AP EAMCET', to select the students for their B.Tech., B.Pharm., and Pharm.D. courses. The aspirant should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam. Aspirants, who studied under Urdu medium can ask for assistance in translation at Kunnoor test center only. The selection of qualified aspirants will be based on the rank scored in AP EAMCET. The application forms are available online and are to be submitted online only. The test is multiple-choice based and has English and Telugu as a medium. The counseling dates will be released after the declaration of the result of AP EAMCET.

Eligibility Criteria
BE/B.Tech & B.Pharm

General Eligibility:

  • The aspirants should be Indian Nationals or PIO or OCI card holders.
  •  The aspirants should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the regulations of admission.
  • The aspirant should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh.

For B.Tech. and B.Pharm. or The aspirant must have finished a Diploma in Engineering or any equivalent exam. courses:

  • The aspirant should have finished 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as subjects. And The aspirant must have finished 16 years of age as on the 31st of December of the year he/she chooses to apply for.

and The aspirant should have scored 45% (40% for reserved categories) marks in the above-mentioned subjects together.

Application Procedure

BE/B.Tech & B.Pharm

  • After filling the form, uploading their attested passport size photo, and their signatures, the aspirants can submit their forms.
  • The application form can be obtained and submitted online only. The aspirants can log in using this ID and fill and submit their application form.
  • Aspirants can get the application form from APICET's website.
  • The aspirants do not need to upload any certificate etc., although SC/ST aspirants have to bring an attested copy of their caste certificate along with them in the examination hall.
  • Debit/Credit Card*: In case the aspirant seekings to use net banking or debit/credit card, he/she can fill the form and then make the payment.
  • The aspirants, then, have to take a printout of the form and paste a recent duly attested passport sized photograph.
  • The aspirants have to carry this form along with them during the day of examination.

Note: When paying via debit/credit card, do not press back/refresh or close the window during the payment as it can cancel the payment.

The aspirants can pay the fee in these centers and receive a 'Transaction ID'. There are no designated centers to offer or accept application forms.
  • After opening the online application portal, the aspirants can pay the registration fee of Rs. 350  via one of the two modes: AP Online, or via debit/credit card.
  • AP Online: The aspirant can visit any of the online payment centers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
  • Admission Procedure

    BE/B.Tech & B.Pharm

    • The exam committee will make a merit list of aspirants which are shortlisted for counseling based on this list.
    • The admission is based on the rank obtained by the aspirant in EAMCET.
    • If two or more aspirants secure equal marks, the tie will be sorted by:
      1. Comparing the marks scored in Mathematics.
      2. If they are still tied, the marks scored in Physics will be compared.
      3. If they are still tied, the marks scored in their 10+2/equivalent exam will be compared.
      4. If tie remains, the older aspirant will be given preference.
    • The dates for counseling will be available after the declaration of marks of EAMCET.
    • Merely the name in merit list does not guarantee admission. The aspirant has to appear for counseling along with all the necessary documents.
    • The following documents are to be submitted at the time of counseling:
      1. Hall ticket of Qualifying Examination
      2. Hall ticket of S.S.C. or equivalent
      3. Proof of Date of Birth
      4. Caste certificate
      5. Aadhar card
      6. Any quota certificate
      7. Proof of Income
      8. Proof of local status (last 12 years)

    Admission Notes

    The Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) is organized by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE for admissions to their B.Tech., B.Pharm., and Pharm.D. multiple choice questions of 1 mark each.  The Engineering exam (10 am to 1 pm) consists of 160 multiple choice questions, which will include 80 questions of mathematics, and 40 questions each of Physics and Chemistry. courses. The test is of 180 minutes (3 hours) duration.

    The method of the examination can be English or Telugu. If any aspirant who has studied under Urdu medium, he/she can avail assistance for translation of the examination to Urdu. Such students will be allotted Kurnool as Test Center.
