Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is a multidisciplinary research institute situated in Jakkur, Bangalore, India. It was founded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, to mark the birth centenary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

JNCASR provides admission to different postgraduate and doctoral level programs. PGDSM and PGDMS are one-year full-time postgraduate level programs.

The registration is done in offline mode. Aspirants who wish to apply can download the application form from the college website i.e. www.jncasr.ac.in. Students required to pay an application fee of INR 200 at the time of registration procedure via demand draft.

The selection is done on the basis of the overall excellent academic record and a final interview round. Aspirants are shortlisted on the basis of exams for interview round on the basis of their overall academic record and score of the last qualifying. Those who qualify the interview round will be granted admissions to the following programs:

  • PGDMS (Postgraduate Diploma in Materials Science)
  • PGDSE (Postgraduate Diploma in Science Education)
  • START DATE - END DATE

Eligibility Criteria for JNCASR PGDSE and PGDMS

Post Graduate Diploma in Science

To seek admission to PGDSM and PGDMS programs in JNCASR, aspirants must meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by JNCASR, Bangalore.

Eligibility for PGDMS

  • Students must have M.Sc. degree in relevant field from a recognised university or institute.
  • The at least marks need to be applicable for admission to PGDMS program is 50%.

Eligibility for PGDSE

  • Aspirants having B.Sc./ M.Sc. degree in relevant stream from a recognised university or institute are applicable to apply.
  • Participants required to score minimum 50% marks in graduation to be applicable for admission to PGDSE program in Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research.

The registration is done in offline mode. The application fee can be paid in offline method via demand draft in favour of “Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research”, payable at Bangalore.

Steps to Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. www.jncasr.ac.in.

Step 2: Download the application form

Step 3: Fill the application form with all the need information

Step 4: Attach all the need documents

Step 5: Pay application fee either of the available modes

Step 6: Send application form to the prescribed address.

If any aspirant establishes inapplicable at the time of admission procedure, his/ her candidature will be summarily rejected.

Students required a mention a valid email address or phone number on the application form. Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.

Information in the application form should match with the details mentioned in the official transcripts of the aspirants. All the official correspondence will be communicated through email. Applicable aspirants can download the application form from the official website of college i.e. www.jncasr.ac.in.

At the time of application form submission, aspirants required to pay an application fee of INR 200. Registration will close in Month of April 2018.


JNCASR PGDSE and PGDMS Admission 2018 Selection Procedure

Post Graduate Diploma in Science

The selection for admission to PGDSM and PGDMS program is done on the basis of overall excellent academic record an interview. The college will publish a combined merit list for all the selected aspirant's provideed admission.

  • The panel of experts will take the interview of the aspirant.
  • Qualified aspirants need to appear for document verification procedure.
  • Participants required to bring all the need documents at the time of document verification procedure.
  • Shortlisted aspirants on the basis of their overall academic record and graduation marks will be called for interview round.
