JMI (Jamia Millia Islamia) Undergraduate Admissions 2018

Jamia Millia Islamia was founded in 1920 by Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar, Shaikhul Hind Maulana Mahmud Hasan, Hakim Ajmal Khan, Shri A.M. Khwaja, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Ansari, Dr. Zakir Husain, etc. at Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh). The campus shifted to Delhi in 1925. The University got its 'deemed' status in 1962.

The university invites aspirants to join their different Undergraduate courses. The last date for the submission of application forms is April 21, 2017. The admissions are based on entrance tests organizeed by JMI.

Application forms are available on the University's website. Another 5% is reserved for internal students. The University may or may not fill all of them. The seats indicated for each course are the maximum seats. About 50% of the seats are reserved for Muslim categories. They are to be filled and submitted online only.

B.Ed.(Regular, Special Education, Nursery Education)Bachelor's Degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks or Bachelor's Degree with minimum 45% aggregate marks along with 50% marks in Master's Degree Examination in any school teaching subject.
B.Voc. should not have a degree in B.A or B.Sc. in Vocational Subjects.

Points to be noted for B.Ed. program:

  1. For the teaching of Commerce, the participant must have a Master's Degree in Commerce with minimum 50% marks.
  2. The aspirant must have passed minimum two teaching subjects up to graduation/post-graduation.
  3. The following aspirants are NOT applicable:
  • Aspirants with Bachelor's Degree in vocational subjects.
  • Aspirants with B.A. degree in one language only
  • Aspirants with M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Environmental Science/Botany. (Solar Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Electrophysiology)

Note:

Students applying for B.Ed. or B.Voc. Such aspirants can apply on the basis of their Bachelor's Degree, if eligible.


How To Apply for JMI (Jamia Millia Islamia) Undergraduate Admissions 2018?

BA , BBA/BBM & B.Com

  1. Aspirants can get the application form from http://jmi.ac.in/onlineadmissionform.
  2. The aspirants have to fill the form online.
  3. The aspirant has to upload a scanned copy of their coloured passport sized photo (.jpeg pattern with size not between 5KB and 20KB) and their signature (Blue/Black ink on white paper with a size between 5KB and 10KB).
  4. After filling the form, the aspirants have to pay a registration fee of Rs.700/- either by Net Banking/Debit/Credit card or the fees can be paid in cash at any Indian Bank discipline by downloading the challan from the admission portal.
  5. The aspirants do not need to upload any certificate etc.
  6. The following details are compulsory to be willing with the aspirant before filling the form:
  • Credit/Debit Card (in case of online payment)
  • Mobile Number
  • Scanned Signature
  • Scanned Photo
  • E-mail ID

Note: When paying via debit/credit card, do not press back/refresh or close the window during the payment as it can cancel the payment.


Admission Procedure of JMI (Jamia Millia Islamia) Undergraduate Admissions 2018

BA , BBA/BBM & B.Com

  1. The selection is based on the rank/marks scored by the aspirant in an Entrance Test organizeed by JMI.
  2. The entrance test may or may not be followed by an interview.
  3. The aspirants have to score minimum 40% marks to be applicable for selection.
  4. The allocation of seats will be according to JMI's Admission Process.
  5. A list of selected and waitlisted aspirants will be available on JMI's notice board as well as on their website.
  6. The selected aspirants will be given a date to appear for the admission formalities.
  7. The selected aspirants are to bring their hall tickets of the entrance test, along with originals and self-attested copies of the following documents:
  • 10+2 or equivalent exam's mark sheet
  • Certificate of No Objection by present employer (for evening/part-time/Sponsored courses)
  • Proof of address along with name and location of nearest police station
  • In case of gap period, certificate from class –1 gazetted officer to certify no indulgence in criminal behaviour
  • Character Certificate from the last attended institute
  • Proof of passing qualifying exam along with mark sheets.
  • Age proof (High School/Senior Secondary School's mark sheet)
  • Certificate from M.B.B.S. doctor/Govt. Hospital certifying blood group
  • Proof of entitlement to any reserved category (if eligible)

Note: Self-employed aspirants have to show authentic evidence of self-employment.

  1. Fees for the first year can be paid by cash, online, or demand draft.

Examination of JMI (Jamia Millia Islamia) Undergraduate Admissions 2018

All aspirants who seek admission to any of the JMI's provideed courses have to appear for an Entrance Test that is organizeed by JMI. (Hons.)

    The test for most of the Undergraduate courses is organizeed in the campus of Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi. These courses are: The entrance test may or may not be followed by an interview. Although some of the courses have their entrance exam organizeed in multiple cities.
