Jamia Millia Islamia was founded in 1920 by Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar, Shaikhul Hind Maulana Mahmud Hasan, Hakim Ajmal Khan, Shri A.M. The campus was shifted to Delhi in 1925. Khwaja, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Ansari, Dr. Zakir Husain, etc. The University got its 'deemed' status in 1962. at Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh).
JMI provides different Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses to the aspirants. M.Tech, MBA and MCA programs are provideed at Post Graduate level for which admission is done on the basis of JMI Entrance test followed by the interview.

At Least eligibility for M.Tech is B.Tech/BE degree in relevant branch with at least 60% marks. For MBA, an aspirant must pass in any Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks. For MCA, an aspirant must pass in BCA/ B.Sc. (IT/CS)/Bachelor’s degree in relevant branch with at least 50% marks.

The university offers M.Tech. /Instrumentation with at least 60% marks OR M.Sc. degree in Physics / Chemistry (with Mathematics up to Graduation level) / Electronics/ Material Science / Electronic Instrumentation with at least 55 % marks.
Note: For M.Tech in Environmental Science and Engineering, in service aspirant with 70% marks or above in qualifying examination are also applicable to apply.program.
JMI provides M.Tech in Environmental Science and Engineering in part-time method and M.Tech in Nanotechnology as a self-financed course.
|M.Tech. (Environmental Science and Engineering)|
(i) Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Mining, and Agricultural Engineering with at least 60% marks.
(ii) An aspirant should have at least two years of industrial or field experience in the area of Environmental/Pollution Control Technology after passing the qualifying examination.

M.Tech provideed by JMI in a Regular method is as follows:

JMI provides MBA in Full-time, Executive (Self-Financed) and International Business (Self-Financed) courses for a period of two-year.
|MBA (Full-time)||Aspirants must have a Bachelor's Degree in any branch with minimum 50% marks aggregate.|

|MBA Executive||Bachelor’s degree in any branch with minimum 50% marks aggregate with at least three-year of working experience.|
Note: For MBA Executive, aspirants must also have minimum three-year of professional experience in Executive level in Government and Private sector including Public Limited/Private Limited Company/ P.S.U/M.N.C/ M.N.E/3 Wings of Armed forces.MCA
Bachelor’s degree in Science /Natural Science/Social Science/Engineering/Technology with at least 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 or higher level OR BCA/B.Sc. (IT/CS) with at least 50% marks.
