Founded in 1969, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is a public central university, situated in New Delhi. The university has acquired a grade of 3.9 out of 4 from NAAC, the highest grade honored to any educational institution in the country and is considered among the top universities in the country. It has 10 Schools and four special centers which provide Undergraduate (BA Hons.), Post Graduate (MA, M.Sc, MCA) and several integrated research courses.
The university provides M.Sc programme in Biotechnology via JNU-CEEB (Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology). JNU CEEB is a national level entrance exam organized by JNU for admission to M.Sc (Agri.) Biotechnology & MVSc, M.Sc Biotechnology and M.Tech Biotechnology programme in multiple universities across India.
Only aspirants with the relevant qualifying degree can apply for admission to M.Sc Biotechnology programme. Selection of aspirants will be done on the basis of their performance in JNU-CEEB.
Aspirants can register themselves for JNU-CEEB by submitting applications online/ offline along with the examination fee of Rs. 1000/- (for general and OBC category) and Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST/PWD category aspirants). Foreign aspirants can register by paying the examination fee of Rs. 2640/- or US$ 40.00

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biotechnology)
Duly filled-in applications should be submitted along with the examination fee of Rs. 1000/- (for general and OBC category) and Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST/PWD category aspirants) via demand draft (DD). DD should be drawn in favor of “Jawaharlal Nehru University” and payable at New Delhi. The entrance examination fee for Foreign Nationals is US$ 40.00 or INR 2640
Along with all the accurate details in the application form, aspirant should also upload the scanned photograph and signature
Aspirants can submit the application fee via online payment/ any bank credit or debit card/ via challan to be deposited in any SBI discipline

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biotechnology)
Selection of the aspirants to the M.Sc Biotechnology is done on the basis of merit list prepared as per the marks scored in the JNU-CEEB, organized by the university.
10% marks will be added to the overall marks scored by a Kashmiri migrant aspirant in the Entrance Examination. After adding 10% marks, in case he/she is covered in the cut-off point in the merit list, he/she will be provided admission
15%, 7½%, 3% seats will be reserved for aspirants belonging to the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and person with disability respectively
JNU M.Sc. Biotechnology Scholarship
Students will be applicable to receive a scholarship at the rate of Rs.3000/- p.m. The scholarship of Rs. 3000/- p.m. would be honored to all the students during the first semester.
In the subsequent semesters, the scholarship will be extended only to those students who secure at least CGPA of 6.00 in the end-semester examinations
