Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is situated in Delhi, India and was founded in 1998.

IP University provides postgraduate courses in MA, M.Sc., LLM, M.Ed, MPT, MPO and MOT. All the courses provided in the university are of two years period and the application forms are available from February 15, 2018, to April 10, 2018.

Minimum eligibility for Post Graduate courses is Bachelor’s degree from recognized university with minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Admission to all the courses is done on the basis of IPU CET 2018.

The university provides MA in four specializations which are as follows:

Master of Science'M.Sc] (Natural Resource Management)

Aspirants should have passed B.Sc. degree with Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physics Sciences, Earth Science, Agriculture and Geography/ Economics background from a reputed university with minimum aggregate 50% marks.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Forensic Sciences)

  • B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics or Applied Science or Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry or Toxicology or Industrial Chemistry or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Statistics or Biology with an aggregate of 50% marks.
  • B.Sc. in Forensic Science with minimum 50% marks.
  • B.Sc. of the minimum three-year period with minimum 50% marks. Also, the aspirant must have studied from at least 1st year any of two subjects: Physics, Mathematics or Statistics, Chemistry, Biology.
  • B.Tech (Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, and Computer Science) with minimum 50% marks.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biodiversity & Conservation)

Students must have done B.Sc. degree in Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Anthropology or any field of Life Sciences or equivalent from recognized university with 50% marks.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Environmental Management)

  • Aspirants must possess B.Sc. degree or equivalent from reputed University with at least aggregate 50% marks.
  • Aspirants with B.Sc. (Engineering) or B.Tech./ BE in Civil/ Chemical or Agriculture Engineering degree with at least aggregate 50% marks from recognized university are also qualified to apply.

LLM

  • The aspirant must possess LLB degree or an equivalent Law degree from foreign University with not less than 50% marks.
  • The university also provides two years of the weekend program for which aspirant required to possess LLB degree with one year of work experience.
  • Admission to the weekend program is merely based on merit an interview.

M.Ed

Aspirants who have passed B.Ed./ BA B.Ed./ B.Sc. B.Ed./ B.El.Ed/ D.El.Ed with any graduation degree from the recognized university with 50% marks are qualified to apply.

Master in Conservation & Preservation & Heritage Management

  • Aspirants appearing for the final year of examination are also qualified to apply.
  • Students who graduate from an Indian or recognized Foreign University or have passed an examination equivalent to a degree can apply.
  • Aspirants who have passed three years of Bachelor’s degree course in any subject of Humanities, Commerce or Science from the recognized university.

Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

  • Aspirants with Bachelor of Physiotherapy/B.Sc. (Physiotherapy) of 3½ period with aggregate 50% marks and bridge course of one year with 50% marks are qualified to apply.
  • Students must pass in Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree of 4½ period from the recognized university with 50% marks. Or

Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics

Aspirants should have passed Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics program (BPO) from the recognized university with 50% aggregate marks.

Master in Occupational Therapy [MOT] (Neurology)

Aspirants should have passed Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) with 50% marks in aggregate from the recognized university.

M.Sc (Nursing)

  • The aspirant must have minimum one-year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • The aspirant must pass B.Sc. in Nursing or B.Sc. (Hons) in Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with the minimum of 55% marks.
  • The aspirant must be Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • The aspirant must have minimum one-year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

Step To Apply

M.Sc, M.Ed & MA

The university provides online method application for aspirants. Aspirants must visit the official website of the university, apply online and pay the fees via online mode.

  • Visit the official website of the university and click on Online Registration.
  • Pay the application fees of INR 1000 for each courses applying for via credit/debit card or net banking.
  • Click on submit and take a print out of the form for the future purpose.
  • Click on submit and log in and password will be generated to the aspirants.
  • Log in by using the credentials and then apply for courses.
  • Fill the form cautiously and upload signature, thumb impression and passport size photograph of the aspirant.

Documents Need:

  • Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Migration (Original) with the photocopy
  • 10th and 12th Mark sheet
  • Graduation all semester mark sheets with a photocopy
  • Mark sheet of Qualifying degree
  • Photocopy of Admit card
  • UG mark sheet.
  • Colored passport size photograph
  • Scorecard of IPUCET
  • Certificate of physically handicapped aspirants (if applicable).

Admission Procedure

M.Sc, LLM & M.Ed

Admission to all the Post Graduate courses is done on the basis of IPU CET 2018 organizeed by GGSIPU, followed by counseling.

Counseling Procedure

The university organizes an offline method of counseling for Post Graduate courses, which is as follows:

First Counseling:

  • Conversion of the reserved seats for SC, ST, DEF, PH, Minority, etc. to General Category will be done only after the completion of last round of counseling for the reserved category.
  • Aspirants should attend the counseling on the scheduled date and time along with all the documents.
  • According to the rank in the merit list of examination, aspirants will be called for counseling along with the need documents for verification.
  • Counseling procedureing fees of INR 1000 which is non-refundable should be submitted by the aspirants to attend the counseling.
  • Counseling schedule will be displayed on the official university website for the eligible aspirants.
  • Students should not be allowed to change the program during first counseling but they can change the program during second counseling by depositing the additional amount of INR 5000 in the form of DD in favor of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, payable at Delhi.
  • University will stop admission or counseling procedure, once the seats are filled.
  • Aspirants are recommended to pay the fees immediately at the time of counseling otherwise seat will be allotted to the next aspirant in the merit list.

Second Counseling:

  • Aspirants are recommended not to pay the second counseling procedures fees if they already paid the first counseling fees and vice versa.
  • If aspirants got admission in the first counseling then also they are recommended to attend the second counseling if they seeking to change the program on the basis of merit.
  • After the two rounds of counseling, open house counseling will be held only if the seats remain vacant.
  • Counseling fee of INR 1000 must be paid by all qualified aspirants who participate in open house counseling.
  • Only CET eligible aspirants will be considered for admission via management quota by producing original hall ticket for admission.
  • Rest of the counseling process remains same as of the first counseling.

Third Counseling:

  • 3rd counseling is the final counseling and there will not be any further counseling.
  • All CET eligible aspirants are allowed to participate in the third counseling.

There will be no waiting list because after the third counseling.
