Aspirants applying for the admission in the Post-Graduate courses required to complete the IPUCET i.e. “Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test” organized by the University or should possess qualifying degree on merit basis.
Registration to these courses can be done online and interested aspirants can get application forms from the university website. Students must apply before March 1, 2017.
University organizes weekend and regular classes in which students can take admission as per their convenience Aspirants are advised to read the instructions cautiously before filling an online application.

Students who have studied MCA or MCA (Security) or graduated in IETE/AMIE from a recognized university are also applicable for the course.

Aspirants should have qualified CET organized by the university.
Students must have qualified graduation degree in IETE/AMIE.
Students looking for admission must possess Graduation degree in B.E. / B. Tech. in Computer Science Engineering or IT from a recognized university with at least 60% marks.
Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Chemical Engineering)
Students looking for admission must possess B.Tech./B.E graduation degree in Chemical Engineering from the recognized University with at least 60% marks.
Students should have the valid score card of GATE.
Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Food Technology)
Aspirants looking for admission must possess B.E/ B.Tech. graduation degree in FPE / Food Tech /Dairy Technology /Chemical Technology (specialization in Food Technology) or M.Sc. (Food Sc. / Allied Science) from recognized University with at least 60% marks.
/ Dairy Sc. Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Nano Science and Technology)
Students should have studied B.E./B.Tech in (Electronics / Computer Science or Electrical / Mechanical or Engineering Physics / Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering or Technology) from the reputed university with at least 55% marks.
Those who have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 or undergraduate level are also applicable to apply.
Aspirants looking for admission must have studied M.Sc. in (Physics or Applied Physics or Electronics Mathematics / Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biosciences/ Life Sciences or Material Science) from the recognized university with at least or equivalent 55% marks in qualifying examination.

Those who have studied M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or Electronics or Mathematics or physics at graduation level with the at least of 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree are also applicable to apply.
Aspirants must have studied B.E/B.Tech in Electronics or Computer Science / Electrical or Engineering Physics / Information Technology or Instrumentation or equivalent from recognized University.
Master of Computer Applications [M.C.A]
Students looking for admission must possess Bachelor’s degree from the recognized university in any branch with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Or
Aspirants must possess BCA/BIT/BIS Graduation degree from this university or any recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks Or
Aspirants must have passed Mathematics and English at the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination of the CBSE or any other recognized examination.
Those aspirants can also apply who have studied Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent qualification with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
The period of Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) is 2 years
Those students are also applicable to apply who have passed final examination of the Institute of CA of India or England.

SC/ST/OBC category aspirants will get relaxation in age of maximum 5 years.
Aspirant’s age should not be beyond 35 years as on August 1, 2017 and should not be less than 17 years as on December 31, 2017.
Aspirants who belong to SC/ST or wards of Defence Personnel/ Persons with Disability will get 5% relaxation of marks in the eligibility.
Only Indian aspirants are applicable to apply for admission.

Students can obtain the application form and brochure from the university website “www.ipu.ac.in”. Also, students are advised to submit the application form along with common entrance test fees of Rs. 1000/- excluding procedure charges and taxes
There will be no rounding-off for the percentage of marks of qualifying examination.
Aspirants should upload the filled in application forms and following enclosures via online method only.
The incomplete application form will be rejected and no request will be entertained afterward.
Separate application forms have to be submitted for each programme.
If documents establish to be forged at the time of admission then university have rights to cancel the seat of the aspirant.

IP University M.Tech, MCA & MBA Admission Procedure 2018
MBA/PGDM, ME/M.Tech & MCA
Selection of the aspirant to the above mentioned M.Tech., MBA and MCA course is done on the basis of IPUCET entrance test or on the merit of qualifying degree organized by the university. University reserves rights to cancel any CET. IPUCET is abbreviated as “Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test”.
Students with valid and qualified GATE score card would be selected first. If seats remain vacant, it would be filled by CET qualified aspirants
The University organizes counseling in two ways i.e. offline and online counseling. Offline counseling is further divided into two categories i.e. first and second counseling. Both the counseling processes are discussed as below:
First offline counseling
According to the rank in the merit list of examination, aspirants will be called for counseling along with the need documents for verification.
Aspirants are allowed to withdraw the admission in the first counseling by submitting the request at the following address:
Conversion of the reserved seats for SC, ST, DEF, PH, Minority, etc.
Students will not be allowed to change the programme during first counseling but they can change the programme during second counseling by depositing the additional amount of INR 5000/- in the form of DD in favor of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University payable at Delhi
To attend the counseling aspirants should submit the counseling procedureing fees of INR 1000/- which is non-refundable.
Aspirants should attend the counseling on the scheduled date and time along with all the documents.
Qualified aspirants will be called for counseling and their schedule will be displayed on the university website “www.ipu.ac.in”.
Aspirant’s admission will only be done on the merit basis and once if the seats get filled up, the university closes admission or counseling.
Aspirants are advised to pay the fee immediately at the time of counseling otherwise seat will be allotted to the next aspirant in the merit list.
If the aspirant fails to appear on the notified venue, time and date for counseling, then they would have no claim for the seat.

If the request is received on or before the above mentioned date and time of admission then the admission will be canceled and fees will be refunded to the aspirant after deduction of Rs. 1000/-.
Second offline counseling
Rest of the counseling process remains same as of the first counseling.
If aspirants got admission in the first counseling then also they are advised to attend the second counseling if they seeking to change the programme on the basis of merit.
Only CET qualified aspirants will be considered for admission via management quota by producing original hall ticket for admission.
Aspirants are advised not to pay the second counseling procedures fees if they already paid the first counseling fees and vice versa.
After the two rounds of counseling, open house counseling will be held only if the seats remain vacant.
Counseling fee of INR 1000/- must be paid by all applicable aspirants who participate in open house counseling.

Aspirants have to deposit non-refundable counseling fees of INR 1000/- via Net Banking /Credit Card and Debit Card or by cash payment in any discipline of Indian Bank.
Aspirants should apply early because the university will not be responsible for any network problems.
If any CET qualified aspirant has not taken admission in the online counseling round then they are applicable to participate in the spot counseling against the available vacant seat.
Aspirants are advised to take the printout of the online fee confirmation receipt with the transaction details.
Once the seat allotment for the reserved category is done then the unfilled seats will be converted to the unreserved category in the last round of online counseling.
Aspirants should read the conditions cautiously before registering online for admission.

10% of the total seats will be situated to the management quota as per government policy.
85% seats are reserved for the Delhi region aspirants. These seats will be filled on the basis of rank in the merit list. All these aspirants looking for admission should complete common entrance test or should complete GATE examination.
27% seats are reserved for the Delhi OBC category aspirants. This reservation is only for the aspirants who are from Delhi region.
15% seats will be reserved for the Foreign Nationals or Persons of Indian Origin or Foreign students.
15% seats are reserved for the aspirants belong to outside Delhi region.
1 seat will be reserved for the Kashmiri migrants in each institution.
University has the rights to add or remove any programme from the list of the programmes grouped together for the purpose of admission
GATE scholarship will only available if and only if it is approved by AICTE for the regular programmes.
No scholarship will be available to students admitted to the programmes in the weekend mode.
