Method of Application
Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), is an ICAR administered Agricultural Institute which is situated in Delhi, India. The Institute was established in 1905. The Institute is more commonly known as Pusa Institute.
Since its inception, the Institute has been providing its students with Postgraduate in 26 Agricultural branches. The exam is followed by a counselling process. The Examination is generally held in May and is organized by ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research). Students want admission in any of the Postgraduate courses provided by the Institute required to appear in AIEEA - PG.
Students required to fill an online Application form in order to appear in AIEEA. The application form for the same generally goes live in April. Students required to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria before applying.
International Students can also apply for admission in different Postgraduate courses provided by the Institute. IARI also offers Hostel accommodations and other basic facilities to its students.

General Eligibility for AIEEA - PG
The aspirant must have passed Bachelor's Degree with minimum 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ ST/ PC students), or 6.0 out of 10.0 CGPA (5.6 out of 10.0 CGPA for SC/ ST/ PC students).
Students want admission in any of the Postgraduate courses provided by the University required to appear in AIEEA. Education), ICAR, Room 216, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan - II, Pusa, New Delhi 110012.
Aspirants in their final year of the Undergraduate program are also allowed to appear for the exam offered they meet the eligibility criteria by the date of counselling. The application fee can be paid online as well as offline.A student has to fill an online application form for the same. The hard copy of the same is sent via Speed/ Registered Mail to the Office of Controller of Examinations (Agril. A copy of the same is generated and should be downloaded. A student can take the stated Examination in only one single major subject group.
The application form should be filled correctly along with successful fee payment.
Aspirants are selected for admission to IARI on the basis of performance in AIEEA-PG. The exam is organized for 20 major subject groups.
The test paper has 150 multiple-choice questions and 10 cross-matching type questions. Students should make sure that all the details are accurate before leaving the Counselling venue.
The students who are not allotted a seat in the counselling process due to the unavailability of seats should submit a request for admission via Waitlist. In case of a wrong response objective question, one mark will be deducted from the total score and 0.2 marks will be deducted for every wrong response cross-matching question. A Proforma for the same is offered to the students at the time of counselling only.
Aspirants who qualify AIEEA-Post Graduate have to go via a counseling process. In the case of any vacancies, such students are notified of the same and are considered for admission.Students required to fill in their preferences in the form and has to submit the same at the Counselling desk.
Along with all the certificates, students will have to submit a provisional admission fee of INR 2000 once the seat is allotted to them and all the documents are verified.
A Provisional Admission Letter will be allocated to the students stating their allotted Institute and Subject/ Course. AIEEA-Post Graduate is a national level entrance exam organized by ICAR for admission to Post Graduate programs in Agriculture and Allied Sciences. Counseling in question is an online process and only qualified students are applicable to attend the counselling process. While for every accurate objective question, the aspirant will be honored 4 marks, for every accurate cross-matching type question they will be honored 5 marks.
