Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad which was recently recognised as the ‘Best Upcoming B-School in South India’, has begun the Application Procedure for admission to the PGDM programs. Students ready to join PGDM at IMT Hyderabad can apply online.
In order to be applicable for application, an aspirant must have a valid CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ XAT score.
IMT Hyderabad shortlists aspirants on the basis of marks scored in the CAT/GMAT/CMAT/XAT exams. The institute further organizes a Critical Thinking (CT), Group Practice (GE), and Individual Interview (PI) round for the shortlisted aspirants. Based on the performance in CT-GE-PI round, aspirants are then selected for admission to PGDM program at IMT Hyderabad.
IMT Hyderabad is the fourth and the youngest IMT and was founded in the year 2011. The institute recently finished the placement for the 2014-16 batches with the highest package provided being INR 21 Lac per annum. The average salary provided to IMT Hyderabad outgoing batch was INR 6.5 Lac per annum by 80 plus appointees.
The institute which is situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad is located in 30-acre lush green campus with state-of-the-art facilities and has tie-ups with 20 Global Universities for student exchange programs.

The Participants for all IMT PGDM programs must have an at least three-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent with an at least of 50% aggregate marks in any branch. Participants who are appearing for the final-year degree examination can also apply offered they submit their pass certificates with at least 50% of marks in aggregate.
Note: CMAT scores will be accepted only at IMT Hyderabad, and IMT Nagpur campuses.
Aspirants ready to apply to PGDM program at IMT Hyderabad can do so by visiting the official website of the institute. The application procedure is online. While applying an aspirant must keep in mind the campuses they wish to apply for. There is a common application procedure for all four campuses of IMT.

The application fee for PGDM courses at IMT is INR 2000. Participants can pay the application fee by any of the following means:
Payment via Credit/Debit card or Net Banking
After filling the form, participants can pay the fee for the online method itself. The final application form will also be available on the admission portal for download. They can do so by using a valid Credit or Debit Card or via Net Banking. Once the payment is clear, the application form number will be displayed. The aspirant must note down this application form number for future reference. Participants can also check Application form status on the IMT admission portal.
Payment via Demand Draft
Aspirants ready to pay the application fee via a Demand Draft must have the details of the Demand Draft before they begin filling the application form. An aspirant must mention their name, application number, and phone number on the reverse side of the demand draft. The steps for submission of demand draft is given below:
The aspirant should retain the remaining part of the application form with them for future reference.
After the application procedure is over, the institute will prepare a shortlist of aspirants on the basis of marks scored in CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT exam. In case an aspirant has appeared in more than one exam mentioned here, then the institute will consider the best score out of the given tests.
The shortlisted aspirants will then be called for selection procedure rounds. The Selection procedure rounds consist of:
Critical Thinking Test will be of 30 minutes period and test an aspirant on their critical thinking abilities, Communication skills, and Innovation and creativity.
Group Exercise will be of roughly 30 minutes. In this, candidates will be divided into small groups and given a task or a problem to solve as a group. It could be anything from case-study, to solving a puzzle or a business problem. This test will analyze a candidate on their leadership skills, interpersonal skills, a contribution of ideas, and communication and attitude.
After Group Exercise, each candidate will be called for a Personal Interview which will be of approximately 15 minutes. In Personal Interview, a candidate will be evaluated on their domain knowledge, communication skills, versatility, and general awareness and maturity. Candidates with work experience will also be assessed on the relevance of their work experience to the PGDM program.
