The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences which has been founded by Government of Delhi has achieved to create a very healthy environment for all students pursuing there. As the name states itself the Institute offers many courses concerned with Liver and Biliary.

The Institute provides courses in many fields like Doctor of Medicine, Master of Chirurgiae, and Doctor of Philosophy & Post Doctoral Certificate Courses. All the interested aspirants may fill the application form as per the eligibility till the last date as defined by the Institute.

The admission to the Institute in all the courses is based on all India Entrance test organizeed by the Institute. The participants can apply online before May 1, 2017. An aspirant may fill the application form for maximum 2 courses.

Age-Limit:

Age limit for the aspirants is 40 years as on December 31st, 2015 and relaxation will be given to SC/ST aspirants by 5 years.


How To Apply for ILBS (Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences) MD & M.Ch Admission 2018

Aspirants can reach to the website of Institute of Liver and Biliary to submit their application form. The application fee is INR 2500/- for the courses other than Doctor of Philosophy for which the application fees is INR 500/-.

The fees can be paid via any of the modes- Net Banking/Debit/Credit cards. So, one course of morning shift exam and one for evening shift can be applied as the timings would not be same. The bank details for which the fees required to be deposited is given below:

Points to be noted:

  1. The participants for in-service aspirants for sponsored seats would be taken via the paper channel and the payment of fees can be made via Net Banking/Debit/Credit Cards.
  2. The application fees would not be refunded in any case
  3. The aspirants are advised to apply for 2 courses accordingly to avoid the clash of timings of Entrance exam.


Admission Procedure of ILBS (Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences) MD & M.Ch Admission 2018

MD & M.Ch

All the applications will be checked by the Institute and then applicable aspirants would be called as per the marks obtained in the entrance exam.

The selection process for DM/M.Ch./PDCC is mentioned below:

  • First, there would be an objective type test for aptitude and merit and the weightage would be 70%. The aspirants required to secure 50% marks to qualify the same.
  • Secondly, the following aspirants are called for interview of 100 marks that is distributed as:
  • Interaction with faculty followed by Interview (40 Marks)
  • Research presentation for 10 minutes (10 Marks)
  • Students who have completed NET exam and possess their valid JRF fellowship (30 Marks)
  • Students with past at least 6 months research experience (20 marks)

Fees Structure of ILBS University
The qualifying marks would be 50%.
  • Second, there would be departmental assessment and final interview of weightage 30%.
  • Third, Directorโ€™s Interview will be organizeed
  • Then, final result will be declared
  • In case, any 2 or more aspirants obtains same marks in the Entrance test then below-mentioned process will be followed:

    • The aspirant who completed MD/MS/DNB/MBBS with at least attempts would be given preference.
    • Aspirants securing higher marks in final MBBS exam would be preferred.
    • Aspirant of elder age securing higher marks in Medicine in MBBS exam in respective specialities will be preferred.
    • Aspirants who secured higher marks in MD/MD/DNB would be preferred.

    Note: The aspirants have to submit their mark sheet of MBBS/MS/MD in case of same marks obtained by 2 aspirants or more.

    The selection process for Ph.D. is given below:

    • First, the entrance exam would be organizeed containing 100 MCQ of 100 marks covering the syllabus relating to subjects till masters level. This test would be of 100 MCQ and period will be 90 minutes.
