IIM Lucknow is an autonomous public business school situated in Uttar Pradesh, India. Ranked among the top 5 B-schools in India, the institute provides the following full-time residential MBA courses:

Students who possess a graduate degree with minimum 50% aggregate of marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST aspirants) from a recognised university can apply for the MBA Programmes at the institute. Aspirants must also possess valid CAT score in order to be applicable for admission to IIML MBA programs.

Selection of the students to the MBA programmes for the batch 2019 will be done on the basis of following parameters:

  1. CAT Scores
  2. Scholastic Achievements
  3. Performance in Academic Writing Test (WAT) & Individual Interview (PI)
  4. Work Experience

Aspirants are shortlisted for WAT and PI round on the basis of their past academic record and marks scored in CAT. The ranking and the final selection is based on a number of components such as performance in CAT, WAT & PI, scholastic achievements as well as work experience of the aspirant.

Eligibility Criteria for IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Lucknow PGDM Admissions 2018

PG Programme in Management [PGPM]

  • If the aspirants are honoured grades/CGPA instead of marks by the university, the normalization of marks will be done based on the process certified by the stated university. Such an aspirant will be provisionally admitted only if he/she must submit a certificate alloted by the related institution/ university confirming his/her graduate degree or equivalent qualification  
  • An aspirant should possess the graduate degree (at least 3 years), with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the reserved category aspirants) from any recognised institution or university
  • Such an aspirant must submit his/her mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor’s degree examination on or before June(including supplementary, if any) alloted by the related institution/ university

List of Equivalent Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2/Post B.Sc./Post Diploma) or B.E/B.Tech equivalent examinations, of Professional Societies, recognised by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE
  • Any Qualification recognised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) New Delhi, which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree honoured by UGC recognised University/Institutions
In case, the university does not have a scheme for normalization, the equivalence would be founded by dividing the aspirant’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result by 100
  • Aspirant due to appear for the final year bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination or students who are awaiting results is also applicable to apply.
  • PG Programme in Agri-Business Management [PGP-ABM]

    • Such an aspirant must submit his/her mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor’s degree examination (including supplementary, if any) alloted by the related institution/ university
    • The aspirant should possess Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science/ Agricultural Engineering or allied subjects (at least 3 years), with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the reserved category aspirants) from any recognised institution or university

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the aspirant must entail an at least of three years of education after completing HSC or equivalent examination with minimum two years’ experience or strong interest in the field of Agriculture or allied sector

    • Any Qualification recognised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) New Delhi, which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree honoured by UGC recognised University/Institutions

    How to Apply for IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Lucknow PGDM Admissions 2018

    PG Programme in Securities Markets [PGPSM], PG Programme in Agri-Business Management [PGP-ABM] & PG Programme in Management [PGPM]

    Students want admission to MBA programmes at IIM-L should apply via official CAT website. The registration fee is Rs. 1700/- (For General and NC-OBC aspirants) and Rs. 850/- (For SC/ST/ OBC aspirants)

    For admission to IIM Lucknow, aspirants will have to select the name of MBA programme provideed at the institute as per their preference. Along with the preference for the programme, aspirants also have to enter their choice of city for an interview.

    PG Programme in Agri-Business Management [PGP-ABM] & PG Programme in Management [PGPM]

    Stage 1: Shortlisting for Writing Ability Test (WAT) – Individual Interview (PI)

    Step 1: Eligibility Criteria for WAT-PI

    Aspirants will be shortlisted for WAT and PI rounds mainly on the basis of their CAT scores. CAT consists of three sections viz. Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC).

    Step 2: Calculation of Composite Score for Shortlisting for WAT-PI stage

    Only the aspirants securing the at least percentile in each category in CAT  will be considered for calculation of their composite score (CS) in Stage 1b on the basis of several factors as given in the following tables:
