Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK) has released the admission criteria for its PG Programme in Management (PGP) for 2018 session. PGPM is a two year fully residential programme.
IIM follows a two-stage admission procedure, the first stage comprises shortlisting for PI & second stage involves final confirmation of seat after evaluation of CAT score, academic performance, Quality of work experience followed by Individual Interview (PI).
There are two ways for admissions to the PGPM: one for Indian students and the other is for NRI & Foreign aspirants.The admission proceedings and application procedures for both are different. Foreign & NRI need to apply via their latest GMAT or TOEFL score. Final selection of an aspirant will depend on CAT score, Academic weightage, Academic Diversity Factor/Gender Diversity Factor & Performance in WAT & PI.
Students looking for admission have to apply online via the official website of CAT test. Clearly, filled-in applications should be submitted online along with the prescribed procedures fee within the stipulated time.

It is the at least qualification or degree an aspirant must possess in order to apply. It also comprises any university or institute which is founded by an act of Parliament or is declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956.
Note 2: In case of Universities which award grades or CGPA, but do not have a process for conversion of grades to the percentage, the equivalent percentage will be calculated by the given procedure:
(Aspirant’s CGPA/Maximum CGPA) X 100 = Equivalent Percentage
The certificate should state that the aspirant has successfully finished the requirements of the course.Note 1: A recognised university is one which is constituted by an act of the Central or State Legislature. In such cases, an aspirant will have to submit a certificate alloted by Principal/Registrar of the College/Institution. For other aspirants who fall in the reserved categories, the at least aggregate percentage need in Bachelor program is 45%.
Students want admission to MBA programmes at IIM-K should apply via official CAT website. The registration fee is INR 1700/- (For General and NC-OBC aspirants) and INR 850/- (For SC/ST/ OBC aspirants).
For admission to IIM Kozhikode, aspirants will have to select the name of program provideed at the institutes as per their preference. Along with the preference for the program, aspirants also have to enter their choice of city for an interview.
Performance in CAT is the only criteria to get admission in IIMs. Note: Full-time experience on a managerial level will only be considered. The aspirant will have to register on the registration day for the programme and pay the necessary fees to clear the admission procedure. Note: The topic will be released at the venue just before GD/WAT. In case of withdrawal of admission, the fee will be refunded after deduction of the fixed amount (as per Government norms).

Those students will receive the provide letter from IIM K, have to confirm their admission within given time along with acceptance amount of INR 50,000/-. Marks obtained in all the three sections will be used in the calculation of index score (it will carry the weightage of 75%).
This score will be calculated for those students who have finished their graduation within the stipulated time. Students must ensure that they perform well in all sections personally. Only those students who will clear the form will be considered for subsequent stages of selection.
Second Stage of Selection in IIMK:
In the second stage of the selection procedure, students have to appear for GD or WAT followed by PI. If any university or board awards only grades not a percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the aspirants should obtain a valid certificate alloted by the respective university specifying the equivalent percentage of marks. All aspirants meeting the requirement listed below will only be applicable for the first stage of shortlisting:

To understand the whole selection procedure of IIMK, students have to go via these basic terms used:
CAT score is the basic input in order to score admission in IIM K. The original equivalent certificate required to be submitted at the time of GD/WAT-PI round if shortlisted. Each IIM follows a slightly various selection procedure although CAT score is the basic requirement. The PI will last for half day i.e. morning or afternoon session where the candidates will be writing a short note & participating in GD on a topic offered by admission authority.
The percentage of marks listed in the marks sheet would be the aggregate of marks in all subjects. Project work, training or academic experience will not be considered.

Note: Aspirants will get the advantage of maximum work experience points if they have exactly two years of experience. If the Institute does not award the percentage of marks, it will be considered on the basis of the marks obtained in all subjects listed in the marks sheet.

If the percentage of marks is not mentioned in the final marks sheet then marks of all years will be considered for further calculation offered it must be certified by the respective institute or university. User Fact: Students shortlisted for the first stage, have to register on IIMK website in order to fill the individual profile form. Authorities will consider all subjects for percentage calculation irrespective of whether the board comprises them for calculation or not. Second stage proceedings will be performed to identify the appropriate aspirant for PI.

Earlier work experience will give the benefit of maximum 5% marks with respect to the period of the service. Those students who have not finished their graduation, their marks will be estimated as certified by the principal/head of the department or director offered the institute certified that those are the latest marks avail by the student.
Those aspirants who have completed CA/ICWAI/CS without having Bachelor’s degree, their intermediate and final level marks (average of two) will be considered a Bachelor’s degree marks. For students with bachelor’s degree, the percentage of marks honoured by the respective Institute/University will be treated as final. Go via the admission policy for the academic session 2018:
IIMK adopts a two-stage selection procedure, the first stage is eligible to those students who have appeared in CAT test & registered online for IIMK. •
In order to satisfy diversity parameter, 5% relaxation for gender diversity & 5% for academic branch will be granted from the IIM’s authorities.
As per government regulations, 15%, 7.5% & 27% seats are reserved for SC/ST & OBC-NC categories. 3% seats are reserved for students of DA category (including Low vision, Hearing Impairment & Cerebral Palsy/Locomotor disability).
Note: Extent of disability should be more than 40% to be under DA category.
Scholarship & Financial Assistance for IIM Kozhikode PGPM Admissions:
IIMK Merit scholarships are honoured by the Institute to first and second-year students on the basis of their performance during coursework.
Central sector scholarship & Merit cum means scholarship are honoured to SC/ST students & minority aspirants respectively. In addition to above-mentioned scholarships, awards are also provideed by NTPC, Sir Ratan Tata Trust, SGGSC, Aditya Birla Group, OPJEMS &Rajarshee Sahu Maharaj Scholarship etc.
Those students who are pursuing or working outside India may be treated under the foreign or NRI category. Such aspirants have to current a valid certificate stating that the aspirant has been resident in that country for a duration of not less than 18 months.

Admission Procedure for Foreign & NRI Aspirants:
Aspirants who are current in India at the time of CAT test need to take the test. In case the aspirants have honoured CGPA/Grades instead of marks, it will be converted to marks percentage through Student’s CGPA/Maximum CGPA*100.
Application Procedure for Foreign & NRI Aspirants:
Finished application should be sent along with the documents need and a bank draft for US$ 100 (as procedures fee) drawn in favour of "Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode" so as to access the Institute.
Foreign aspirants should send their applications via the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Send the final application to:

IIMK Campus P. O. The score should be minimum 700. Another admission criterion is same as that for domestic students. Aspirants can also apply via TOEFL score. Shortlisted aspirants have to appear at IIMK for PI round if shortlisted. However, the aspirants who are not currently in India at the time of CAT should produce GMAT score (validity one year). Foreign/NRI aspirants also have to produce three letters of reference the aspirants should also produce three letters of recommendation.
Foreign aspirants also required to have a valid passport/travel document. Marks obtained in graduation will be calculated on the basis regulations adopted by the university, from where the aspirant has finished his degree. Aspirants required to have a valid passport or travel document.
