IIFM PGDFM Admission 2018

Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) is one of the premier institutions in the country, established in 1982, and situated with its primary branch in Bhopal. The Institute offers degrees in forest management with the aid of the Ministry of Forestry. Application forms are available online on the official university website, as well as can be obtained in person from the IIFM campus. 

Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Managment (PGDFM)

Those who wish to pursue the PGDFM course at this university may apply to do so through the official university website, or by purchasing and submitting the form in person within the given time period. In addition, candidates must apply for the CAT or XAT as well, directly to the boards conducting these examinations. IIFM considers the scores but does not play a role in the conduction of these examinations. Admission to the above programme is complete with the Three step - Admission Test, IIFM Application Form & Group Discussion (GD) and Interview

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Managment (PGDFM) offered at Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) has been explained below:

Eligibility

A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (it may also be referred to as Persons With Disability (PWD) categories), awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Human resource Development, Government of India. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply

How to apply?

Besides registering for CAT / XAT, candidates are also required to register with IIFM, Bhopal through a separate Application Form which will be available along with Information Brochure. Candidate Apply only Online applications. Candidates can apply online through Websites: http://iifm.ac.in/admission/ Online application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST) through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net banking.

Instructions for filling the form

  • On the login page, click on the Register to apply now link.
  • Read relevant details about the course and application from the home page links.
  • Fill the details into User Registration Form.
  • Confirm Registration details by clicking on the Confirm button.
  • Click verification link received your registered E-mail.
  • Login to fill the Application Form after verification of E-mail.
  • Fill all details on the form for each of the sections. Incomplete forms cannot be submitted.
  • Click 'Save/Continue to Make Payment' for saving all details and proceeding back to the Application Locker for making payment for all pending application forms.
  • In the Application Locker, under the Pending Applications area, choose your form for which you wish to make payment and Click on Make Payment.
  • On the Make Payment Page, choose Mode of Payment and verify the Amount and Click on Proceed.
  • Complete Payment Procedure and wait for confirmation E-mail.

Admission Process

Admission to the above programme is complete with the Three step - Admission Test, IIFM Application Form & Group Discussion (GD) and Interview.

Admission Test

Common Admission Test (CAT 2017) - All applicants desirous of seeking admission in PGDFM at IIFM have to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). IIFM will use the CAT score for short-listing the candidates for calling for GD/PI. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

OR

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2018) - Have to appear for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) conducted by XLRI, by responding to their notification published in leading national dailies. IIFM will use XAT score for short-listing the candidates for calling for GD/PI. XLRI have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Candidates apply online from http://iifm.ac.in/admission and pay the application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST) through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net banking.

Download the application form and send it along with Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST) with all attachments by speed post to Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal

Group Discussion (GD) and Interview

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT/XAT score will be called for Written Aptitude Test / Interview at Bhopal, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata based on the choice of candidates, as mentioned in the Application Form. However, IIFM reserves the right on the allotment of choice of the center to the candidates.
