IIEST provides M.Sc in five subjects/Departments as well as two-year full-time AICTE approved MBA program. In order to take admission in MBA program provideed by the Institute, students required to appear in MAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT.
Further, students also required completing the Group discussion and Individual Interview organizeed by the Institution itself. While, students who wish to take admission in any of the M.Sc courses provideed by the Institute, have two options.
They can either get admission via CCMN, the centralized counselling process to admit M.Sc students in NITs or CFTIs. Or, they can go via the direct admission process organizeed by IIEST itself. JAM qualification becomes compulsory in this case. The admissions in this process are done on the basis of merit and call for a written exam followed by a counselling process. JAM qualification isn’t compulsory in this case.
Applications for MBA admissions generally go live in February while for M.Sc, applications go live in April. Hostel accommodations are available for the students.

50 % out of the available seats are reserved for students who are admitted via CCMN. The rest 50% is reserved for students who are admitted straight.
Students required an at least of 60% aggregate or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale in order to be applicable for direct admission in any of the M.Sc programs provideed by the Institute.
For SC/ST/PWD students the at least marks requirement is 55% or a CGPA of 6 on a 10 point scale.
In addition to the above marks requirement, students required to have a valid JAM score.
MBA/PGDM
Students required a Bachelor’s degree in any branch from a recognised University/Institute with an at least of 55% aggregate. A valid CAT/ XAT/MAT/CMAT score is also needed.
For CAT/XAT, the score will be an at least of 65 percentile. For MAT/CMAT, the score will be an at least of 85 percentile. Offered that the students meet the eligibility criteria before classes officially start. Students also required a good and consistent academic record.
*Students in their final year can also apply.
Students want admission via CCMN required to register for CCMN by providing their e-mail ID and JAM score details. Students want direct admission required to fill the application form available on the official website of IIEST along with the payment of application fees. Login credentials are created, after which students required to fill basic details. The application fee for CCMN is INR 2000.
Students shortlisted will be called for an Entrance exam; students who qualify will then be called for counselling.

Counselling process is then followed. Students then required to pay the counselling fees and keep the confirmation page’s printout safely with them. MBA/PGDM
Students required to fill an application form available on the official website of IIEST. The application form is to be submitted through e-mail only. Students also required to pay an amount of INR 300 (for SC/ST aspirants payable amount is INR 150) by demand draft.
The DD is to be addressed to ‘REGISTRAR, IIEST, Shibpur’ and should be payable at Kolkata.
After the screening of applications, students are called for Group discussion and Individual Interview. After which, a list of selected students is released.

Students want admission via Centralized counselling (CCMN) will be required to fill the counselling application available on the official website of CCMN. JAM score details will be also needed. Seat Allocation Letter will be alloted to students. Documents are to be verified and the fee is to be paid.
Further, they will be required to pay the counselling fees and fill choices.
Seats will be allotted after documents verification online. Students finally will be required to report to reporting centres or allotted Institutes. Documents are to be verified and the fee is to be paid.
Students want direct admission required to report to IIEST after the releasement of merit lists. Spot round will be opened at last which will require fresh registration by the students.

Students want admission in the MBA course provideed by IIEST will be judged not only on the basis of their academic records but also on their CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT score (50%), Group discussion (20%), and Individual interview (30%).
A final list is announced after the students are judged on all the above parameters. The final list releases the selected students after which students required to report to IIEST for submitting documents and admission.
For M.Sc:
50% of available seats are reserved for students want admission via CCMN and rest 50% are reserved for students want direct admission. Other than that following reservations are eligible.
