Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), also known as Hindustan University, provides different undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated and diploma programmes. It is a highly reputed engineering institution and was ranked 3rd among private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. HITS invites applications for a full-time four-year B.Tech. The registration has started from January 7th, 2018 (tentative) and it will be closed on April 9th, 2018 (tentative). programme via the HITSEEE Online Entrance Examination 2018 to be held on April 30th, 2018 (tentative)to May 4th, 2018 (tentative) in Chennai centres and on April 30th, 2018 (tentative) and May 1st, 2018 (tentative) in the rest of the centres.
Selection will be based on performance in the entrance examination via merit/score.
Eligibility Criteria for HITS B.Tech. Admission 2018
Hindustan University provides four-year B.Tech programme in the following branches:
For Vocational Stream: A at least average of 60% marks in the concerned subjects and vocational subjects (theory and practical) is needed.
B.Tech. Chemical Engineering
B.Tech. Biotech: A at least average of 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology is the need.
Age Criteria: Aspirant must not be more than 19 years of age as of April 30th, 2018 (tentative).
Nationality: You should be a resident Indian national and should have studied in schools situated in India in the preceding two years.

B.Tech. Civil Engineering
B.Tech. programmes except for Biotech: You should have passed the Higher Secondary examination (12th) Curriculum (Academic Stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry or equivalent, with an at least average of 60% in these three put together.
For B.Tech. But improvement marks will not be considered for admission.

Selection Process for Hindustan University B.Tech. Admission 2018
Counseling process will take place after the publication of the Rank List.
The exam is an objective type multiple-choice test. You can also find a sample paper available at HITS website.
The selection of students for admission shall only be on the basis of merit via the HITSEEE 2018 entrance examination which will be organizeed online.
HITSEEE stands for Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Engineering Entrance Examination 2018 which is organizeed at all-India level. It is held at a total of 24 examination centres across the country, which you can select as per your convenience at the time of filling the application form.
Note: Hall Ticket- You will be able to download the hall ticket from the college website two weeks before the exam, and you must carry the printed copy to the exam hall.
The time period of the test is 2 hours. It consists of 3 sections, namely, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of 10+2 level.
There will be 120 questions from various subjects.
