Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar invites aspirants for admission in its Ph.D. programme 2018, via the Ph.D. Entrance Examination, in 29 branches. Aspirants who possess a Master’s Degree in their respective fields with an at least aggregate of 55% marks may straight apply online on the University website.

The University grants reservation to the reserved category aspirants, with 3% reservation for PH aspirants, course wise. DHSGU also exempts certain aspirants from the entrance examination and straight appear for the interview.   • Aspirants who are appearing for their last semester examinations for Master’s degree can also apply, offered the result of their qualifying examinations straight affects the approval of their admission.
  • Aspirants must secure a Postgraduate degree in their preferred courses in which they have to apply for Ph.D. programme for eligibility.
  • Aspirants under General and OBC category must have an at least aggregate of 55% in their respective qualifying examinations in their Master’s degree, while aspirants under SC/ST category must secure an at least of 50% in their Master’s degree examinations from any recognised University/Institute.

How To Apply for HU (Harisingh University) Ph.D. Admissions 2018?

Step 1

All aspirants have to visit the University website and choose the Services option for Application for PhD Admission/Entrance Test - 2017-18. Contact details must be cautiously filled so as to receive the confirmation SMS/email.

  • Fill in the need category of reserved/unreserved for claiming of quota.
  • Step 3

    • Before clicking the submit button after the picture upload, aspirants must check all the details they have mentioned in the particulars.
    • Aspirants have to attach their scanned photographs (maximum size 250kb) &their scanned signature (maximum size 100kb)

    Step 4

    • Once the payment is done, aspirants may take a print copy of their payment receipt.
    • After successful completion of application form, aspirants may proceed with the payment options for registration.
    • In order to make the payment, aspirants may select their payment gateway via MP Online authorized KIOSK / Net Banking / ATM cum Debit Card /Credit Cards.
    • Entrance test fee is Rs.900/- for General, OBC & PC Aspirant & Rs.450/-for SC/ST Aspirants. 

    Step 5

    • Aspirants must print 2 copies of the application form, one of which have to be sent to the Chairman, Admission Cell, Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar – (M.P.) 470003 and the other one has to be produced at the final counseling.

    Step 2

    • All the details regarding preferable course along with other individual details shall be filled up by the aspirant. The information must be clear and valid.

    Admission Procedure of HU (Harisingh University) Ph.D. Admissions 2018

    M.Phil/Ph.D in Science

    The selection of aspirants for interview and further admission programme will be purely based on merit basis, qualifying aspirants fulfilling the following conditions will be called for interview:-

    • For SC/ST aspirants, an at least of 45% aggregate (90 marks) is needed for qualification.
    • Aspirants under unreserved category/OBC or Physically Handicapped category have to score an at least of 50% aggregate (100 marks) for an interview.

    For Interview, the committee will consider the marks obtained in the Master’s degree as well as the questions asked/presentation skills in the interview orally. Appearance is a must for qualifying aspirants. of India/State Govt.

    Written Test & Interview Details:-

    The admission of all aspirants under all categories will be organizeed via a written test, followed by an interview. Aspirants who are exempted from the written test are applicable to qualify for the interview, and furthermore for the admission.

    • The question paper will have 2 parts:  Part A will be General Aptitude Test % will consist of 20 objective type questions (MCQs) of 40 marks.
    • Period of Entrance Test: 120 minutes.
    • The entrance exam will be of 200 marks, comprising of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

    Part B will be Subject Specific, consisting of 80 objective type questions (MCQs).

    • Aspirants who are exempted from the entrance test comprising:
    • For the interview, only the aspirants who are exempted from the entrance exam and the aspirants who have qualified are applicable.
    • The interview will be of 20 marks.
    1. (NET-JRF) UGC/CSIR examination qualifying aspirants.
    2. Aspirants who are honoured National Fellowship by the Govt. organizations.
    3. Teacher Fellowship Holders are exempted from the interview.
    4. Aspirants who are selected under Quality Improvement Program (QIP) of AICTE, Faculty Development Programme (FDP) of UGC.
    5. Aspirants, who are admitted as self-financing foreign national by an Embassy of their countries, offered they have approval from Ministry of External Affairs and an alloted NOC.
    6. The aspirant who is sponsored as a part-time aspirant by a non-degree awarding institution.

    Exempted aspirants must also apply for admissions for the Ph.D. programme and appear for the interview.

    Reservation for HU (Harisingh University) Ph.D. Admissions 2018

    • As per the guidelines from the Govt. of India, seats will be reserved for SC, ST, OBC aspirants with a percentage seat grant of 7.5% for SC, 15% for ST and 27% for OBC.
    • As per the MHRD guidelines, special reservation for Kashmiri migrants will be provideed, with a relaxation of 10% of Percentage Subject for At Least eligibility or 5% increase in intake capacity of seats for all courses.
    • Special seat reservation will be organizeed for Physically Handicapped aspirants with a grant of 3% seats within each category.

    Important Notes for HU (Harisingh University) Ph.D. Admissions 2018

    • Aspirants must carry all the need documents and testimonies for verification by the counseling/interview committee.
    • Aspirants who have been honoured Ph.D. Degree of this University are not allowed to take admission in same subject/guide again.
    • All aspirants must carry their hall tickets at the time of entrance test for identification. No aspirant shall be allowed to sit for the exam without their hall ticket.
    • No gadgets of any kind are allowed inside the examination halls.
    • It is compulsory for all aspirants interested in Ph.D. programme to Log-in online on the University website. Direct submission of applications will not be entertained.
    • Aspirants must be active on the University website so as to update themselves about the admission procedure and other changes time to time.
