Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is also recognized as Indraprastha University. It provides postgraduate (M.Ch and D.M) course and research Ph.D. course. Application forms will be made available by the university from January 30, 2017.
University provides 4 D.M courses, 4 M.Ch courses and 27 Ph.D. courses. Programmes provideed in the university i.e. (M.Ch and D.M) are for a duration of 3 years.
Aspirants can apply for (M.Ch, and D.M) courses after completing the IPUCET Common Entrance Test organizeed by the University or should possess rank in the merit list of qualifying degree examination. For admission in the Ph.D. degree aspirants should complete UGC-NET-JRF examination.
The Application is an online procedure and aspirants can get application forms from the university website. The last date for submission of all the application forms for Ph.D. is May 2, 2017, and for D.M. & M.Ch is March 1, 2017

Eligibility for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) Ph.D., M.Ch and D.M Admissions 2018
Aspirants having the degree in M.D/D.N.B General Medicine / Paediatrics / Respiratory Medicine from a Medical Council of India recognised college are applicable to apply for admission.
Students who did not cross the age of 35 years as on December 31st, 2017 are applicable to apply.
DM in Neurology
Students looking for admission must possess MD/DNB degree either in Medicine or Paediatrics from a Medical Council of India recognised college.
Those students are also applicable to applicants who are waiting for their result before admission.
DM in Nephrology
Aspirants must possess a degree in MD Internal Medicine from this university or any other reputed university.
Students should possess M.D. degree in Medicine or Paediatrics of this university or any other equivalent degree recognized by MCI.
DM in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
Students looking for admission must possess MD degree in (General Medicine / Pulmonary Medicine / Paediatrics / Chest) or DNB degree (General Medicine/ PM/ Paediatrics / Chest) from recognized university

Aspirants must possess any one of the following qualifications for admission to the Ph.D. programme.
Aspirants must possess Master’s degree in (M.Sc. / M.A. / M.Tech. / LL.M. / M.Ed. / MBA/ MCA) or post graduation degree approved by Association of Indian Universities or AICTE or UGC or equivalent qualification in relevant field with not less than 55% marks.
Aspirants should not have finished age of 55 years at the time of admission
Foreign national aspirants are also applicable to apply after submitting an application fee, attested copies of certificates, passport and documents regarding admission to the Director of International Affairs.
An aspirant with MD/MS or MBBS degree with at least three years of experience in the government hospital with 55% or more aggregate marks are also applicable to apply.
Students who belong to SC/ST or person with disability category must secure 50% marks or as according to UGC from time to time.
Aspirants who have already completed national level examinations like CSIR/ UGC-NET-JRF/ Lectureship, DBTJRF, ICMR-JRF, or equivalent fellowship are exempted from the university written test and can straight appear for an interview.
Note:
Aspirants belong to SC/ST or Persons with Disability will get 5% relaxation of marks in the eligibility.
SC/ST/OBC category aspirants will get relaxation in age of maximum 5 years
Aspirants passed Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from distance education method can also apply for admission.

M.Phil/Ph.D in Education, M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts & M.Phil/Ph.D in Engineering
All the online method applications will be alloted from January 30, 2017. There will be no rounding-off for the percentage of marks of qualifying examination.
If aspirant once submitted his/her details then they have to re-register in case they required to change any individual information. Fees should pay online via Net Banking /Credit Card and Debit Card or by cash payment in any discipline of Indian Bank.
Separate application forms should be submitted for each programme. University can add or remove any programme from the list of the programmes.
IPU entrance exam is a university level examination which held every year. Aspirants should upload the filled in application forms and following enclosures via online method only.

Online method:
Aspirants are advised to take the printout of CET application form as proof of application. Incomplete application form will be rejected and no request will be entertained afterwards.
Students are advised to submit the application form along with common entrance test fees of Rs. 1000/- excluding procedures charges and taxes. University will only display the ranks of those aspirants who are qualified entrance test CET.
Students can get the application form from the university website “www.ipu.ac.in”.
If documents establish to be forged at the time of admission then university have rights to cancel the seat of the aspirant.

UGC-NET-JRF is a National Eligibility Test (NET) organizeed to determine the eligibility for college and university level lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian Nationals.
Counseling procedure for DM and M.Ch
University organizeed counseling in two ways i.e. offline and online counseling. Both the counseling processes are discussed as below: Offline counseling is further divided into two categories i.e. first and second counseling.
First offline counseling
Schedule of counseling will be displayed on the university website “www.ipu.ac.in” for the qualified aspirants.
If the aspirant fails to appear on the notified venue, time and date for counseling, then they should have no claim for the seat.
At the time of counseling fees should be paid immediately otherwise seat will be allotted to the next aspirant
Aspirants should attend the counseling on the scheduled date and time along with all the documents.
University stops admission or counseling, once if the seats get filled up.
Conversion of the reserved seats for SC, ST, DEF, PH, Minority, etc. to General Category will be done only after the completion of last round of counseling for the reserved category.
Aspirants are not allowed to change programme during first counseling but they can change it during second counseling by depositing the additional amount of INR 5000/- in the form of DD in favour of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University payable at Delhi
To attend the counseling aspirants required to submit counseling procedures fees of Rs. 1000/- which is non-refundable.
Aspirants will be called for counseling according to the rank in the merit list along with the need documents for verification.
Aspirants are allowed to withdraw the admission in the first counseling by submitting the request at the following address:
If the request is received on or before the above-mentioned date and time of admission then the admission will be cancelled and fees will be refunded to the aspirant after deduction of INR 1000/-.
Second offline counseling
Aspirants are advised not to pay the second counseling procedureing fees if they already paid the first counseling fees and vice versa.
Rest of the counseling process remains same as of the first counseling.
If aspirants got admission in the first counseling then they can also attend the second counseling if they seeking to change the programme on the basis of merit.
After the two rounds of counseling open house counseling will be held only if the seats remain vacant.
Only CET qualified aspirants will be considered for admission via management quota by producing original hall ticket for admission.
Counseling fee of INR 1000/- must be paid by all applicable aspirants who participate in open house counseling.
Online counseling
Once the seat allotment for the reserved category is done then the unfilled seats will be converted to the unreserved category in the last round of online counseling.
Aspirants should apply early because the university will not be responsible for any network problems.
If any CET qualified aspirant has not taken admission in the online counseling round then they are applicable to participate in the spot counseling against the available vacant seat.
