Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in Delhi, India, provides postgraduate courses of MJMC, MA, M.Sc, LL.M., M.Ed, MPT, MPH, MOT and PGMC. All the courses provideed in the university are for a duration of 2 years and the application forms will be made available by the university from January 30, 2017.

Interested aspirants can get admission to the different programmes via Common Entrance Test or on the merit of qualifying degrees.  The entrance exam IPUCET-2017 will be held in offline mode.

The last date for submission of all the application forms is March 1, 2017. Students can apply for PG courses by submitting the application form online. Application forms should be obtained from the university website.

  1. Aspirants looking for admissions must have done Graduation Degree in any branch from the recognized University with 50% marks.
  2. Preference will be given to those aspirants who have done graduation degree in English from reputed University.
MA in Mass Communication
  1. Aspirants must possess bachelor’s degree in any branch from recognized University with 50% marks.
  2. Preference will be given to the aspirants who have studied Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Media from reputed University.
  3. Aspirants having work experience in media concerned field are also applicable to apply.
  4. Aspirant’s age should be below 30 years.
MA in CriminologyStudents looking for admission must possess Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from any UGC recognized university by securing minimum 50% aggregate marks at the time of final examination.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Natural Resource Management)

Aspirants should pass B.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physics Sciences, Earth Science, Agriculture and Geography/ Economics background from a reputed university with at least aggregate 50% marks.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Forensic Sciences)

  • Students looking for admission must possess B.Sc. degree from any recognized university with minimum 50% marks.
  • Those aspirants can also apply who have studied 2 years or 3 years degree course with any two subjects out of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology, Genetics, Biotechnology and Anthropology)Or
  • Aspirants must have done B.Sc. in Forensic Science with at least 50% marks from recognized university.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biodiversity & Conservation)

Students looking for admission must have done B.Sc. bachelor’s degree in Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Anthropology or any field of Life Sciences or equivalent from recognized university with 50% marks.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Environmental Management)

  • Those aspirants are also applicable to applicants who have studied B.Sc. (Engineering), B.Tech. or B.E in Civil/ Chemical or Agriculture Engineering degree with minimum aggregate 50% marks from recognized university.
  • Aspirants must possess B.Sc. graduation degree or equivalent degree with any of the subjects like Chemistry and Botany and Zoology and Microbiology and Biotechnology from the reputed university with minimum aggregate 50% marks. Or

LLM

  • There is no age restriction for admission to the Master’s degree of Law.
  • The aspirant must possess LLB degree or an equivalent Law degree from foreign University with not less than 50% marks.
  • Aspirants should complete the CLAT i.e. “Common Law Admission Test “entrance test can also apply for admission.

M.Ed

Aspirants who acquire Bachelor’s of Education degree can pursue Master’s degree in Education from the recognized university with 55% marks.

Master in Conservation

  • Those aspirants can apply who have passed three years degree course in any subject of Humanities, Commerce or Science from the recognized university.
  • Students who graduate from an Indian or recognized Foreign University can apply.
  • Aspirants appearing for the 3rd year of final examination are also applicable to apply.

Master of Physiotherapy(MPT)

  • Those who have to possess bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Physiotherapy/B.Sc. (Physiotherapy) of 3 ½ periods including internship from the recognized university with aggregate 50% marks.
  • Students looking for admission must possess Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree or 4 ½ periods from the recognized university with 50% marks. or

Master in Archaeology & Heritage Management [MAHM]

  • Aspirants appearing for the 3rd year of final examination are also applicable to apply.
  • Aspirants graduate from a Foreign University can also apply for admission.
  • Aspirants who have passed three years degree course in any subject of Humanities, Commerce or Science from the recognized university.

Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics

Aspirants should have passed Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics programme (BPO) from the recognized university with 50% aggregate marks.

Master in Occupational Therapy [MOT] (Musculoskeletal) & Master in Occupational Therapy [MOT] (Neurology)

  • Aspirants must hold the degree in B.Sc. (Honours) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy from the reputed university.
  • Aspirants should possess the degree of BOT or B.Sc. OT from the recognized university with at least aggregate 50% marks.


How To Apply for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) PG Admissions 2018?

MA, M.Ed & Master of Physiotherapy(MPT)

All the online method applications will be alloted from January 30, 2017. Fees should pay online via Net Banking /Credit Card and Debit Card or by cash payment in any discipline of Indian Bank.

Separate application forms should be submitted for each programme. University will only display the ranks of those aspirants who are qualified entrance test CET.

Aspirants are advised to take the printout of CET application form as proof of application. Aspirants should upload the filled in application forms and following enclosures via online method only.

There will be no rounding-off for the percentage of marks of qualifying examination.

If aspirant once submitted his/her details then they have to re-register in case they required to change any individual information. The online application submission mode is explained below:

Online method:

Students can get the application form from the university website “www.ipu.ac.in”.

Students are advised to submit the application form along with common entrance test fees of INR 1000/- excluding procedures charges and taxes. The incomplete application form will be rejected and no request will be entertained afterwards.

If documents establish to be forged at the time of admission then university have rights to cancel the seat of the aspirant. University can add or remove any programme from the list of the programmes.

IPU entrance exam is a university level examination which held every year.

Final selection of the aspirants is based on the counseling which is explained as below:

Counseling procedure except for PGMC

Counseling is a two-way procedure in the university i.e. offline and online counseling. to General Category will be done only after the completion of last round of counseling for the reserved category.

    • If the request is received on or before the above-mentioned date and time of admission then the admission will be cancelled and fees will be refunded to the aspirant after deduction of Rs. 1000/-.

    Second offline counseling

    • Aspirants are advised not to pay the second counseling procedures fees if they already paid the first counseling fees and vice versa.
    • Only CET qualified aspirants will be considered for admission via management quota by producing original hall ticket for admission.
    • Counseling fee of INR 1000/- must be paid by all applicable aspirants who participate in open house counseling.
    • If aspirants got admission in the first counseling then also they are advised to attend the second counseling if they seeking to change the programme on the basis of merit.
    • After the two rounds of counseling open house counseling will be held only if the seats remain vacant.
    • Rest of the counseling process remains same as of the first counseling.

    Online counseling

    • All the details regarding counseling are available on the university website “www.ipu.ac.in”.
    • on for the reserved category is done then the unfilled seats will be converted to the unreserved category in the last round of online counseling.
    • Aspirants should read the conditions cautiously before registering online for admission.
    • Aspirants have to deposit non-refundable counseling fees of INR 1000/- via Net Banking /Credit Card and Debit Card or by cash payment in any discipline of Indian Bank.
    • If any CET qualified aspirant has not taken admission in the online counseling round then they are applicable to participate in the spot counseling against the available vacant seat.
    • Aspirants should apply early because the university will not be responsible for any network problems.
    • Aspirants are advised to take the printout of the online fee confirmation receipt with the transaction details.

    PGMC counseling

    PGMC counseling is of three types i.e. first, second, and third counseling which is discussed as below:

    First counseling:

    • Aspirants who have passed MBBS degree and possess rank in the merit list of entrance examination will be called for first counseling.
    • Aspirants must bring original certificates along with the one set of photocopies duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or from Principal of School or self-attested at the time of counseling.
    • Seats will be situated in the order of merit list and the conversion of the seat will be done during first counseling but if then also the seats remain vacant it will be converted as per the standard government process.

    Second counseling:

    • Second counseling will be held at the university.
    • If aspirants will be admitted during the first counseling and paid the fees in the university but did not join the college on the particular date then it will be considered as a vacant seat.

    Third counseling:

    • 3rd counseling is the final counseling and there will not be any further counseling.
    • There will be no waiting list because after the third counseling the admission status will be admitted or not admitted
    • All CET qualified aspirants are allowed to participate in the third counseling.

    Aspirants are advised to bring all the original and photocopy of the necessary documents which are as following:

    5. Original document of class 10th and 12th (2 photocopies)
    Fees Structure of IP University
    Both the counseling processes are discussed as below:

    First offline counseling

    • Counseling schedule will be displayed on the university website “www.ipu.ac.in” for the qualified aspirants.
    • Conversion of the reserved seats for SC, ST, DEF, PH, Minority, etc. Offline counseling is further divided into two categories i.e. first and second counseling.
    • Aspirants should attend the counseling on the scheduled date and time along with all the documents.
    • Aspirants are advised to pay the fee immediately at the time of counseling otherwise seat will be allotted to the next aspirant in the merit list.
    • According to the rank in the merit list of examination aspirants will be called for counseling along with the need documents for verification.
    • If the aspirant fails to appear on the notified venue, time and date for counseling, then they should have no claim for the seat.
    • University stops admission or counseling, once if the seats get filled up.
    • Counseling procedures fees of amount INR 1000/- which is non-refundable should be submitted by the aspirants to attend the counseling.
    • Students should not be allowed to change the programme during first counseling but they can change the programme during second counseling by depositing the additional amount of INR 5000/- in the form of DD in favour of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University payable at Delhi

    If seats reserved for aspirants belong to SC/ST category remains unfilled due to the absence of applicable aspirants then seats would be provideed to another category i.e. seats of SC to ST and vice versa.
