Goa University was founded in June 1985 under Act of 1984. It is certified by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) in India with a rating of four stars. Goa University provides graduate and post-graduate studies and research programmes.

University provides different undergraduate (UG) programmes in the following branches:

Undergraduate courses:

  • MBBS
  • B.Sc. Nursing
  • BAMS
  • BHMS
  • BDS

Aspirants can get admission to the above-mentioned courses via Goa Common Entrance Test 2018 (GCET-18).

They can register themselves for the above-mentioned MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and B.Sc. Nursing course by submitting an application fee of amount Rs.1500/- via DD.

NRI aspirants can register themselves for the above-mentioned MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and B.Sc. nursing course by submitting admission fees (one time) of Rs.1000/- by DD.

Eligibility Criteria for Goa University North Goa BDS and MBBS Admissions 2018

MBBS

Eligibility:

  • Aspirants who belong to PH category must have secured 45% marks for MBBS and BDS courses.
  • Aspirants must possess Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English and secured not less than 50% aggregate marks in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together (40% aggregate marks for aspirants belong to SC/ST/OBC)

BDS

Eligibility:

  • Aspirants who belong to PH category must have secured 45% marks for MBBS and BDS courses.
  • Aspirants must possess Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English and secured not less than 50% aggregate marks in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together (40% aggregate marks for aspirants belong to SC/ST/OBC)

BAMS

Application Procedure for Goa University North Goa BDS and MBBS Admissions 2018

BAMS , BDS & BHMS

  • The incomplete application form shall not be accepted and if the application form is submitted after the scheduled date, then a late fees fine of Rs.1000/- will be charged with the application fees.
  • Aspirants can register themselves for courses by downloading, printing and be submitting an application form by paying application fees of Rs. 1500/- payable by DD in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji – Goa, on any Scheduled Bank.
  • Aspirants must send the application form and all the attested copies of the documents at the following address:
  • Aspirants want admission to the above-mentioned courses must have a valid score in GCET-18 and National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).

  2. Statement of marks of H.S.S.C. (Std. XIIth) or its equivalent examination.
  3. Birth Certificate from Competent Authority.
  4. Certificate of residence from the Mamlatdar, indicating duration of continuous residence (at least last 10 years) of the participant in Goa
  5. ‘Bonafide student’ certificate (if eligible)
  6. Leaving/Transfer certificate from school or college last attended
  7. ‘Certificate of Income’ in original alloted by Panchayat
  8. Non-Migrant Caste Certificate
  9. Physically Handicapped Certificate (if eligible)
  10. OCI /PIO Card /document alloted by the Competent Authority for NRI aspirants.
  11. A certified copy of the passport as proof of being an Indian Citizen


Selection Procedure of Goa University North Goa BDS and MBBS Admissions 2018

BAMS , BDS & BHMS

  • In case if the marks in Biology are equal, then aspirant with more marks in Chemistry shall be placed higher in the merit list.  
  • In case if above marks of two or more aspirant are equal, then aspirant with more marks in Biology shall be placed higher in the merit list.  
  • If all the above are also equal, then the participant with the previous date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit.
  • Selection of the aspirants is based on the GCET–2018 merit list in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology


Reservation Criteria for Goa University North Goa BDS and MBBS Admissions 2018

  • 15 seats are reserved for the management quota and one seat in over & above intake shall be available to Kashmiri Migrants.
  • 2% seats are reserved for the SC category aspirants and 12% seats are reserved for the ST category aspirants.
  • 27% seats are reserved for the OBC category aspirants.


Important Notes of Goa University North Goa BDS and MBBS Admissions 2018

  • Aspirants who belong to SC/ST/OBC category shall be applicable for 50% exemption of fees.
  • Aspirants must submit original documents at the time of admission.

Hostel:

  • Hostel facility is eligible for both boys and girls.
