Founded in 1980, Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is a private University which was titled as a deemed University in 2007. The university has 13 affiliated colleges and is a pioneer in imparting professional and non-professional education, research and training.

The university provides admission to the following law programmes: 

  • LL.B.
  • Integrated BBA ., LLB (Hons)
  • Integrated B.A., LL.B (Hons)

Only aspirants with the relevant qualifying degree can register for the above mentioned law programmes. as well as special categories viz. Differently-abled, women etc. Seats are reserved for people belonging to various categories such as SC/ST/BC etc.

Aspirants can register for admission by filling in the application form and submitting the need processing fee. Admission to the above programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the aspirants in the CLAT/SLAT/counseling.

GITAM Law Admission 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.} & Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] {Hons.}

  • The aspirant should have qualified LSAT / CLAT in order to get admission in GITAM. Students who are awaiting their result can also apply for the programme.
  • The aspirant should have passed Higher Secondary School Examination / Intermediate Examination (10+2)/any equivalent examination not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC / ST and persons with disability).
  • The aspirant must not be more than 20 years of age ( 22 years in case of SC / ST and persons with disability.  

Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.]

  • The aspirant must not be more than 22 years of age ( 24 years in case of SC / ST and persons with disability.
  • The aspirant should have passed any graduation (except BFA/Graduate from distance mode)/any equivalent examination with at least 45% aggregate of marks (40% in case of SC/ST and persons with disability). Students who are awaiting their result can also apply for the programme.

GITAM Law Admission 2018 How To Apply?

Aspirants must register for admission by filling and submitting finished applications? All fields in the application form should be correctly and clearly filled-in with the relevant information.

The aspirant should log on to the university website and follow the given steps:

  1. Download and take the printout of  the application form
  2. Fill the application form manually with the necessary information
  3. Enclose the application form with the important documents
  4. Pay the application fee through demand draft drawn in favor of β€œThe Director, School of Law, GITAM” and payable at Visakhapatnam
  5. The aspirant should send the duly filled-in applications, along with all the attested documents and DD, to the following address:

  1. Transfer Certificate   
  2. HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet (for integrated programs)
  3. Graduation certificate( for LLB programme)

  6. Nativity Certificate if need   
  7.  Date of Birth Certificate (SSC / ICSE / CBSE).
  8. Medical certificate
  9. Rank Card of CLAT / LSAT India(for integrated programs)

Important Note:

  • The application fee for boys: Rs. 700/-
  • The application fee for girls: Rs. 500/-

GITAM Law Admission Procedure 2018

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.} , Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] {Hons.} & Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.]

Aspirants will be selected for the integrated law programmes on the basis of their merit in CLAT/SLAT, followed by the counseling.

Admission to LL.B. programme will be done straight via counseling procedure based on the qualifying degree merit.
