Founded in 1980, Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is a private University which was titled as a deemed University in 2007. The university provides 109 programs at an undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral level in different branches such as Technology, Pharmacy, Science, Management, International Business, Architecture and Law.

The university provides following courses at undergraduate (UG) level in different branches:

  • B.Arch.
  • B.Pharm.
  • B.Tech. (10 branches)

Aspirants can get admission to the above-mentioned courses via the university entrance test known as GAT (UGTP)GAT is abbreviated as “GITAM admission test”.

Aspirants can register themselves for admission to the above-mentioned courses by submitting duly filled-in applications, along with the procedures fee of Rs. 1000/- (for male aspirants) and Rs. 600/- (for female aspirants) via demand draft (DD).

Eligibility

The aspirant must have passed intermediate or 12th examination from a recognised Board or its equivalent subjects with at least 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Biotechnology)

The aspirant must have passed intermediate or 12th examination from a recognised Board or its equivalent subjects with at least 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

Bachelor of Pharmacy [B.Pharm]

The aspirant must have passed intermediate or 12th examination from a recognised Board or its equivalent subjects with at least 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics Chemistry subjects

  • An aspirant should have passed National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), organizeed by Council of Architecture (CoA), New Delhi.
  • The aspirant must have passed JEE (Main) organizeed by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the year of admission.
  • An aspirant must have passed higher secondary or equivalent 10+2 level in any group from a recognised Central/State Board with an at least of 50% aggregate marks and Mathematics as a subject of the examination


How To Apply for GITAM University B.Tech and B.Arch Admissions 2018

BE/B.Tech B.Pharm

  • An aspirant should send the duly filled-in applications, along with all the attested documents and DD, to the following address:
  • Aspirants can also obtain application form by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request letter containing the aspirant’s name, along with the clear mailing address and DD of INR 150. DD should be drawn in favour of ‘GITAM University’ and payable at Visakhapatnam
  • Aspirants can download the application form available at the official GITAM website. Application forms can also be obtained from any discipline of Union Bank of India throughout the country
  • Aspirants can register themselves by submitting the finished applications, along with the procedures fee amount of Rs. 1000/- (for male aspirants) and Rs. 600/- (for female aspirants) via DD.

Admission Procedure of GITAM University B.Tech and B.Arch Admissions 2018

BE/B.Tech B.Pharm

  • Aspirants must submit counseling fee of Rs. 800 for admission to B.Arch and B.Pharm courses
  • Selection of the aspirants to the above-mentioned courses is done on the basis of their performance in GAT (UGTP), admission test organizeed by the university

Scholarship

100% fee scholarship will be given to top 10 rankers of GAT and 50% for 11-100 rankers in GAT

Hostel

University offers hostel facility to 2300 boys’ aspirants and 2000 girl’s aspirants.
