Gautam Buddha University (GBU) is a Research University situated in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a state university which was founded in 2002.

The University provides Post Graduate courses in the field of Science, Arts, and Management. The application procedure for all the three course-levels is online and aspirants can reach the application form via University’s official website. The university has M.Sc. in 5 branches, MA in 10 branches, and MBA in 6 branches.

GBU organizes entrance test followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Individual Interview (PI) for admission to MBA program. The admission to MA and M.Sc. programs is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility

The aspirant must possess graduation degree from any recognised university with at least 50% marks for general aspirants and 45% marks for aspirants who belong to SC/ST category.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Applied Chemistry)

Eligibility

The aspirant must possess graduation degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects from this university or any other recognised university with at least 50% marks for general aspirants and 45% marks for aspirants who belong to SC/ST category.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Applied Physics)

Eligibility

Aspirant must possess graduation degree with Physics or B.Sc. in Electronics as one of the subjects from this university or any other recognised university with at least 50% marks and 45% marks (for aspirants belong to SC/ST category)

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Applied Mathematics)

Eligibility

Aspirant must possess graduation degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects from this university or any other recognised university with at least 50% marks and 45% marks (for aspirants belong to SC/ST category)

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Environmental Science)

Eligibility

Aspirant must be graduate in science branch from this university or any other recognised university with at least 50% marks and 45% marks for aspirants from SC/ST category

Eligibility

MA/M.Sc. in Applied Psychology

Eligibility

  • Aspirants with a Science background will be granted M.Sc. degree.
  • The aspirant must be graduate in any branch from any recognised University in India at least 45% marks for general aspirants and 40% marks for SC/ST aspirants.

Master in Disability Rehabilitation and Administration [MDRA]

Eligibility

  • Aspirant must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in disability rehabilitation recognised by Rehabilitation Council of India or Medical Council of India with at least 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for SC/ST aspirants
  • The aspirant should have Master’s degree from a recognised university in Psychology, Social Work, Management, Social Welfare, Rehabilitation Psychology, Rehabilitation Social Work, Rehabilitation Management with at least 50% marks for general aspirants and 45% marks for SC/ST aspirants.

For Indian Aspirants:

  • The application fee for general aspirants is Rs. 1200/- and for SC/ST aspirants is Rs. 600/-.
  • Aspirants can fill the application form online on the university website
  • Aspirants need to send the duly-signed printout of the filled in application form with “Application for PG (GPT 2017)”  mentioned on the envelope to the following address:

Admission Process

The admission to the majority of MA and M.Sc. courses is on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. In case of Master in Disability Rehabilitation and Administration, GBU organizes a written examination followed by Interview and Group Discussion. The written examination will have questions about Disability and Rehabilitation management, and logic and reasoning. The weight for Interview and Group Discussion is 25% each.

Gautam Buddha University Fee Structure

For admission to MBA courses, the university organizes a written test. The written test will have 4 sections – Reasoning and Aptitude, Mathematical Ability and Data Interpretation, English proficiency, and General Awareness. The weight of Reasoning and Mathematical ability section is 30% each and English Proficiency and General Awareness is 20% each. Aspirants shortlisted on the basis of marks scored in the written test are then called for Group Discussion (GD) and Individual interview (PI).

Seats will be reserved for the SC/ST/OBC category aspirant is as per the Uttar Pradesh Government rules and Gautam Buddha University rules.

GBU MA, M.Sc.& MBA Admission 2018 Eligibility for Foreign Aspirants

  • Aspirant must obtain certificate of the International Students approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
  • Aspirant pursuing in the final year or having qualified Degree are also applicable to apply.
  • The aspirant must hold the valid passport from their respective countries.
  • Aspirants must have finished 12 years or 10+2 years of formal schooling at the school level followed by a Bachelor’s Degree.
