Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI), Dindigul is deemed university in the state of Tamil Nadu, established to carry on Mahatma Gandhi’s revolutionary concept of ‘Nai Talim’. Since its establishment in 1956, GRI has been unstintingly contributing to higher education and has successfully pioneered rural higher education. The institute is focused on providing education in the rural education and the courses are designed to work for the better of the rural education and rural industries.
Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI) offers 4 undergraduate courses, 6 Postgraduate courses, 3 PG Diplomas, 4 Professional Courses and 1 integrated course in the fields of Arts, Education, Science, Engineering and Management. Admission to all the UG programs starts around the end of higher secondary examinations in Tamil Nadu. Admission to the PG courses are made on the basis of entrance tests conducted by the institute.

Cost of Application Including Registration Fee:
Registration Fee for all Diploma / UG / PG/ PG Diploma / Post Diploma PG /M Phil Programmes: Rs. 180 (Rs. 220 by post).
There are no registration fees for applicants belonging to SC/ST categories for any one programme (on producing the attested copy of the community certificate for any one programme).
Admission to all the Master/Post-graduation degree programs will be based on candidates’ performance in the entrance test conducted by the institute.
