D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune is a deemed university, situated in Maharashtra, imparting professional education in various fields such as medical, dental, engineering, paramedical and management. The university has 6 constituent colleges which provides different undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and research programmes to its students.

The university provides only one programme at postgraduate (PG) level in the field of management i.e. Master of Business Administration (MBA).  Admission of aspirants to MBA programmes is done on the basis of their performance in the university entrance exam (AICET), group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI).

Qualified aspirants can register themselves by submitting finished applications along with the fee of Rs. 1500/- (US $ 100 for NRI/PIO/FN aspirants). Eligible aspirants as per the merit list of the test shall be called for counseling by the university authority for GD & PI rounds.

In case the aspirants wish to apply via CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA entrance exams, they must obtain the application forms at the cost of Rs. 1000/- and submit them upon completion in order to appear for GD/ PI organized by the university.

Eligibility: Aspirant must possess bachelor’s degree in any branch with minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of reserved category aspirant). Aspirants appearing in the qualifying examination of bachelors' degree are qualified to apply.

Step to Apply

  • Aspirants can apply for admission via online / office registration procedure and submit finished applications before the due date. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information
  • The aspirant can purchase the related application form in person from the university office upon paying Rs.500/- or obtain it by sending a requisition letter along with the form fee via demand draft (DD) of Rs. 600/-
    • The letter should contain the name, of course, opted for, correspondence address, and contact number and should be sent along with the DD of Rs. 600/- drawn in the favor of “Registrar, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth”, and payable at Pune
    • Finished applications should be sent along with the test fee of Rs. 1000/- via DD drawn in the favor of “Registrar, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth”, payable at Pune
    • Aspirants can also download the application form via the official university website “www.dpu.edu.in”. In case of downloaded forms, duly filled-in applications should be sent to the registrar along with the demand draft (DD) of Rs. 1600/- (form fee + examination fee)
    • Purchased applications can also be submitted along with late test fee of Rs.1250/- via DD. In case of downloaded forms, duly filled-in applications should be sent along with Rs. 1850/- (form fee + examination fee) on or before the last date case the aspirants wish to apply via CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / ATMA examinations, they could apply by obtaining the application form, in person, upon paying Rs. 1000/- (Add Rs. 100/-, if need by post) via DD favoring "The Registrar, Dr. D.     Admission Procedure

  • Selection of the aspirants for MBA programme will be done on the basis of their marks in AICET, and performance in Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) organized by the university.
    • Students appearing for CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / ATMA examinations will be admitted on the basis of their performance in GD & PI. For such aspirants, here is the schedule for GD / PI.

    Reservation Criteria

    15% seats are reserved for NRI/PIO/FN aspirants and 85% seats are reserved for general category aspirants.
