DYPV (D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth) Pune is a deemed university, situated in Maharashtra, imparting professional education in various fields such as medical, dental, engineering, paramedical and management. The university has 6 constituent colleges which provide different undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and research programmes to its students. The Aspirants who desire to take admission need to apply online or in person along with downloaded application form with All India Rank and percentile of marks obtained in NEET 2016. The merit list of the Aspirants will be prepared on the basis of All India rank obtained in NEET 2016. The selection will be done on the basis of merit of Aspirants reporting for counseling.

 The university provides admission to the following medical and dentistry programmes at undergraduate (UG) level:

  • Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS)
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science (MBBS)

Aspirants of Indian as well as foreign origin with the relevant qualifying degree are qualified to apply for the above mentioned Under Graduate programmes. Few seats are reserved for people belonging to various categories such as SC/ST/BC etc.

Aspirants can register for admission to MBBS/BDS programme by filling in the online/ offline application form and submit it along with the need procedure fee, on or beforeMay 7, 2018 (tentative). Admission to the graduate programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the aspirants in the entrance examination DPU-AICET 2018.

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS

  • Aspirants should be of Indian origin and must have finished 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2018 (tentative) to appear in the AICET-2018
  • Aspirants should possess the Higher Secondary Course (10+2)/ CBSE/ any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with PCB and English subjects passed individually
  • Minimum need aggregate of marks for general aspirants is 50% and there is a relaxation of 10% in the aggregate for SC/ST/OBC aspirants

BDS

  • Aspirants should be of Indian origin and must have finished 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2018 (tentative) to appear in the AICET-2018
  • Aspirants should possess the Higher Secondary Course (10+2)/ CBSE/ any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with PCB and English subjects passed individually
  • The minimum required an aggregate of marks for general candidates is 50% and there is a relaxation of 10% in the aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates

In case of downloaded forms, duly filled-in applications should be sent along with Rs. 2850/- (form fee + examination fee).

  • Finished applications should be sent along with the test fee of Rs. 2000/- via DD drawn in the favour of “Registar, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth”, payable at Pune
  • Aspirants can also download the application form via the official university website. In case of downloaded forms, duly filled-in applications should be sent to the registrar along with the demand draft (DD) of Rs. 2600/- (form fee + examination fee)
  • The letter should contain the name of course opted for, correspondence address, and contact number and should be sent along with the DD of Rs. 600/- drawn in the favour of “Registar, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth”, and payable at Pune
  • Aspirant can purchase the related application form in person from the university office upon paying Rs.500/- or obtain it by sending a requisition letter along with the from fee via demand draft (DD) of Rs. 600/-
  • Purchased applications can also be submitted along with late test fee of Rs.2250/- via DD.
  • Aspirants can apply for admission via online / office registration procedure and submit finished applications before April 30, 2018 (tentative). All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information Finished applications, in all respects, can be submitted in person at the university office or should be mailed to the following address:

    Enclosures:

    The aspirant must bring the following certificates in original, along with two sets of attested copies, at the time of counseling:   

    1. HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet   
    2. Transfer Certificate   
    3. Community Certificate (For OC aspirants community certificate not need)   
    4. Certificates for Special categories, if need     
    5. Nativity Certificate if need     
    6. First Graduate Certificate and Joint declaration form, if need
    7. Passport size photographs

Admission Procedure

MBBS & BDS

Aspirants will be selected for admission to the MBBS / BDS programme on the basis of their performance as per the merit in the DPU-AICET 2018.

The admission into MBBS/BDS course will be based on the national level entrance exam called as NEET. No state level entrance exam will be offered in Pune for admission into the medical & dental programme. All governments & private colleges considered NEET score card for admission into MBBS/BDS courses. The Universities only have permission to conduct counseling for 85% state quota seats.
