Dravidian University was founded by the Government of Andhra Pradesh via a Legislature Act in 1997 at Kuppam. The university consists of 30 academic departments and 4 centers which offer UG, Post Graduate, and research programmes.
The University provides the following research programmes in different branches:
Admission to the above mentioned courses will be done on the basis of aspirant’s performance in the Dravidian University Research Common Entrance Test (DURCET).
Those who wish to apply can register themselves for the courses upon submitting the prescribed application form upon completion along with the application fee of Rs. 500/- (for general/ BC category) and Rs. 400/- (for SC/ST/Differently Abled aspirants) via DD.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. & M.Phil. Courses
M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts, M.Phil/Ph.D in Education & M.Phil/ Ph.D. in Science
Eligibility For regular
Aspirants should satisfy the Local or Non-local status in Andhra Pradesh as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions order, 1974.
The aspirant must qualify DURCET entrance test organized by Dravidian University.
The aspirant must possess post-graduation degree from this university or any other recognised university with at least 55% of marks in the related subject. 5% relaxation is given to SC/ST aspirants.
Eligibility for part-time
The aspirant who working as a Junior Lecturers in Govt./Aided Junior Colleges with 2 years of teaching experience as the Permanent employee
The aspirant who is working as a teacher in a Govt/Aided college providing Post Graduate / Under Graduate courses with 2 years of teaching experience as the Permanent employee
Eligibility for full time
The aspirant must qualify DURCET or GATE/UGC NET/SLET/CSIR Examination.
The aspirant must possess post graduation degree from this university or any other recognised university with at least of 55% of marks in the related subject of post graduation. 5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST aspirants.
Eligibility for part-time
The aspirant must be Permanent teachers working in Govt./Aided High Schools with not less than 5 years of Regular Service
The aspirant must be Teacher/Research Assistant/Research Fellow working in the Dravidian University with not less than two years of Regular Service
The aspirant must be Junior Lecturers in Govt/ Aided Junior Colleges or Polytechnics/ DIET/Post Graduate Teachers equivalent to Junior Lecturers working in Govt./Aided Colleges with 2 years of teaching experience as the Permanent employee
The aspirant must be An Executive with an at least of 10 years of service in Commercial Banks, Industries, Financial Institutions, Reputed Service Organizations, Central / State government Gazette and Non-Gazetted Officers
Aspirants must be Permanent employees working in Reputed National/State Institutions with not less than 2 years of Regular service
The aspirant must be A Teacher working in Dravidian University / other Universities recognised by UGC with 2 years of teaching experience as the Permanent employee
The aspirant must be Lecturers in Physical Education / Physical Directors working in Govt./Aided Colleges / Govt./Aided Junior Colleges with 2 years of experience as the Permanent employee
The aspirant must be Librarians / Deputy Librarians / Assistant Librarians/ Directors/ Deputy Directors/ Assistant Directors working in Govt/Aided Colleges / Govt./Aided Junior Colleges with 2 years of experience as the Permanent employee
The aspirant must be Non-Teaching Staff of the Dravidian University with not less than 2 years of Regular Service

If any student cancels his/her admissions after the commencement of classes, only 75% of Tuition Fee of that year will be refunded, even if the student discontinues in the first year or second year

The aspirant can register themselves to the above mentioned courses after submitting the application fee of amount Rs. 500/- (for general/ BC category) and Rs. 400/- (for SC/ST/Differently Able aspirants) via DD drawn in favor of the Registrar, Dravidian University, Kuppam payable at Andhra Bank, Dravidian University Discipline, Kuppam - 0001539.

Original Caste Certificate (Permanent or Latest obtained from the M.R.O/Tahsildar).
Income Certificate (obtained in 2015 from the M.R.O / Tahsildar).
Relevant Certificate in case of Differently Abled.
Relevant Certificate in case of NCC/NSS/Games & Sports.
Discharge Certificate and Service Certificate of the parent in case of Children of Armed personnel.
Migration Certificate (in case of other university students).
4 Passport size recent photographs.
Two Self-addressed Post-Cards.
Two 9 x 20 cms Self-addressed covers with Rs.5/- postal stamps affixed to them.
Selection Procedure for Ph.D. & M.Phil. Courses

Selection of the aspirant to the above mentioned courses will be based on the merit in the University Research Common Entrance Test (DURCET) organized by the university
If the aspirants get same marks then the preference will be given to those who secure higher marks, if there is the further tie then preference will be given to the elder person.
Selection of the foreign aspirants to the Ph.D. programme is done via individual interview by a Committee consisting of the Dean of Academic Affairs/ School Dean/ Head and Chairman, Board of Studies, and the guide
