Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth is one of the renowned institutions for studies in the field of Agriculture. With over 20 post-graduate courses and 6 doctoral programmes, the university also has 20 research stations providing quality education to students from all over the country. Since its establishment, it was aimed at educating students in varied courses concerned to agricultural and allied sciences.

The university provides the following undergraduate courses in different branches:

Applicable aspirants can apply via the online application forms available on the official MCAER website. The university reserves 15% of the total seats for students appearing in All India Entrance Exam, organized by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research. Remaining seats are filled on the basis of qualifying examination merit.

B.Sc (Agriculture)

The aspirant should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English or Agriculture Polytechnic

B.Sc

The university provides B.Sc. programme in the following branches:

  • B.Sc. in Horticulture
  • B.Sc. in Forestry
  • B.Sc. in Fisheries
  • B.Sc. in Agri. Technology

Eligibility: Aspirant should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English

  • B.Sc. in Home Science

Eligibility: Aspirant should have passed 10+2 examination with Arts/ Science/ Commerce and English

BE/B.Tech

B.Tech is provided in the following branches:

  • B.Tech in Food Technology

Eligibility: Aspirant should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English

  • B.Tech in Agricultural  Engineering

Eligibility: Aspirant should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English

Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] (Agriculture)

  • The aspirant should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English.
  • Aspirants who have passed 10+2 examination with Botany or Zoology instead of biology are also applicable.

BE/B.Tech , B.Sc & B.Sc (Agriculture)

  • Along with duly filled-in applications, aspirants have to submit the application fee of Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 in case of SC/ST/OBC) via Net Banking or DD or by Challan in state bank of India discipline. Certificate allowed by the Competent Authority
  • Defense Personnel Certificate from Zilla Sainik Board
  • All category Aspirants (including reserved & unreserved) from states other than Maharashtra must pay an application fee of Rs. 600/- via DD
  • Economical Backward Class (EBC) Certificate allowed on or after January 1, 2016
  • The aspirant can download the prospectus and related application form available at the official MCAER website
  • Migrant/Displaced students from Jammu and Kashmir State should submit Certificate from the Competent Authority
  • Certificate of Handicapped allowed by the Competent Authority (if eligible)
  • Printout of a duly filled-in application along with recent passport size photograph and relevant documents must be sent to any of the Application Receipt Centres of the institution
  • ‘No-Objection Certificate’ from the Employer in case of Inservice Aspirant

Note: Aspirants who have passed 10+2 with Agriculture Polytechnic must submit 2 forms. ‘B’ or ‘C’ / Air / Naval /Army wing Certificate
  • Certificate of Games/Sports/Debate/Essay/Elocution allocated by the District Sports Officer
  • A Certificate of the Freedom Fighter of the participant’s parents allowed under the signature of the Honourable Prime Minister / Chief Minister of Maharashtra State
  • N.S.S. The marks of Agriculture Polytechnic should be attached to one copy and marks obtained in 12th standard should be enclosed with the second form.

    7. 'Non-Creamy Layer Certificate' allocated on or after April 01, 2016 or valid up to the date of submission of application form

    BE/B.Tech , B.Sc & B.Sc (Agriculture)

    • 15% seats of the total seats shall be reserved for admission via All India Common Entrance Test organized by Indian Council of Agriculture Research, Delhi.
    • Rest of the 85% seats will be filled on the basis of qualifying degree merit i.e. marks obtained by the aspirant in 10+2 qualifying examination.

    PDKV B.Sc, B.Tech and BBA Admissions 2018 Reservation Criteria

    Major Criteria:

    • First 30% seats will be allotted to aspirants who have a domicile of Maharashtra or have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate from the State of Maharashtra.
    • 2% seats are allotted to students from other States.
    • Rest 70% of the total capacity will be allotted to students who have passed qualifying examination from school or institution in the University area.

    Other Criteria:

    • 30% seats are reserved for Female aspirants.
    • 7% seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
    • 19% seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes.
    • 13% seats are reserved for Schedule Caste.
    • 8% seats are reserved for Nomadic Tribes.
    • 6% seats are reserved for Agriculturist and Children of Agriculturist who possess at least qualification or experience in Agriculture.
