University provides different courses having course level undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG); programmes in these course levels are discussed as following in different branches:

Undergraduate course:

  • Basic B.Sc. Nursing – (4 years)
  • Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing – (2 years)

Postgraduate course:

  • M. Sc. Nursing – (2 years)

The aspirant can get admission to the above mentioned courses via NAIET (i.e. All India Entrance Test).

The aspirant can register themselves in the B.Sc Nursing course by submitting the registration fee of amount Rs. 1250/-  and in the post-Basic B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing by submitting the registration fee of amount Rs. 1500/- by DD.

DY Patil University Nursing Admissions 2018 Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc (Nursing)

  • Aspirants should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination in PCB from a recognised board with at least 45% of marks (40% for SC/ST categories of backward classes).
  • Aspirants must pass in NAIET (i.e. All India Entrance Test) examination.

Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing Eligibility:-

  • The aspirant must pass the higher secondary or senior secondary or intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognised by the university.
  • Aspirants must pass in NAIET (i.e. All India Entrance Test) examination and shall be medically fit.
  • The aspirant must be Indian National.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Nursing)

  • The aspirant must have at least one year of work experience after basic B.Sc nursing or post B.Sc nursing.
  • The aspirant should be medically fit and 5% relaxation of marks given to SC/ST aspirants.
  • The aspirant should be registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent with any state nursing registration council.
  • The aspirant must possess B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. / Post Basic B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution recognised by Indian Nursing Council with at least 55% of marks.

Age limit eligibility:

Aspirant must be 17 years of age or attain this age as on 31.12.2016

B.Sc (Nursing) & M.Sc (Nursing)
  • The aspirant must have to submit the entrance test fee of amount Rs. 1500/- for post B.Sc Nursing or M.Sc Nursing course by DD drawn in favor of “D. Y. Patil University” Navi Mumbai from a Nationalized /Scheduled Bank, payable at Navi Mumbai / Mumbai.
  • The aspirant must have to submit the entrance test fee of amount Rs. 1250/- for basic B.Sc Nursing course by DD drawn in favor of “D. Y. Patil University” Navi Mumbai from a Nationalized /Scheduled Bank, payable at Navi Mumbai / Mumbai.
  • Candidate must have to submit application form and all the attested documents at the following address:

  • 3% disability reservation is given to the candidates with a disability of locomotive to the tune of 40% to 50% of lower extremity. A committee may decide whether the candidates have disability of locomotive of 40% to 50%.
  • Parent Nursing Council Registration Certificate with RN/RM No.
  • Maharashtra Nursing Council Registration / Document of application of MNC Registration.
  • TNAI Registration.
  • Physical Fitness certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner as per Annexure IV

Selection of the aspirant will be based on the rank secured in the merit list in NAIET (i.e. All India Entrance Test) examination.

DY Patil University Nursing Admissions 2018 Reservation Criteria

  • 15% seats are reserved for the Foreign National / PIO / NRI category aspirants.
  • Reservations of seats will be as per the directives of the Government of India

Counseling procedure:

  • The aspirants who have secured at least 45% of marks in the entrance test will be shortlisted for counseling.
  • Aspirants must bring original documents for verification at the time of counseling.
  • The physical presence of the aspirants at the time of counseling is essential.
