Delhi University offers UG, PG, M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in a variety of discipline. The admission process for all the degree programs is conducted separately. The admission to most of the UG courses offered at the University is based on merit. The University invites application in online mode from prospective candidates by the end of the month of May. The admission to PG courses at DU is both merit-based and through entrance exams. The schedule for PG admission is declared separately by the respective departments on the university website. On the other hand, admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses is entirely based on the performance in an entrance test and interview conducted by the respective department of Delhi University.

The Admission for the above mentioned program will be shortlisted through the valid score of the Common Admission Test (CAT) and group discussion and interview which is open to all the candidates of any state or Union Territory of India.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for MBA (Bussiness Economic) & MBA (Financial Management) programs offered at University of Delhi has been explained below:

  • MBA (Bussiness Economic) - Two-Year (Full-Time)
  • MBA (Financial Management) - Two-Year (Full-Time)

Eligibility

The candidates seeking admission in MBA (BE/FM) Programme Shall have Graduate (Under 10+2+3) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks from the University of Delhi or any other recognized University or equivalent with Maths/Business Maths at class XII level. Reservation of seats as per the University rules. Candidate appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree in 2018 can also apply.

How to apply?

MBA (BE) & MBA (FM)

Candidate Submitted Only Online applications, hard copy application form is not applicable. Candidates can apply online through Websites: http://www.mfc.edu or www.dbe-du.org The Application fee is Rs. 1,800/- (Rs.900/- for SC/ST/PC candidates) for two programmes and Rs.1,100/- (Rs.600/- for SC/ST/PC candidates) for one programme.

Instruction to fill online application form

  • Candidates have to go the official website: http://www.du.ac.in and check the Front of the home page "Study at DU" select the PG Admission for application links.
  • Candidate also go the Department website http://mfc.edu/ and Check top right side of the home page "Announcement" Click Online applications invited for MBA(FM) and MBA(BE)
  • After clicking on the desired link, New User Create Account fill all mandatory Details like User Name, Password and E-mail. already Created Account then log in using Username and Password.
  • After Login candidates have the options to either download a printable copy of the application form.
  • Fill All Mandatory details and Submit the form.
  • Upload the required documents- passport size photograph and signatures.
  • Make payment via online or offline mode by January 6, 2018.

Admission Process

The Admission Procedure comprises of the following procedure:

  1. Short-listing is done on the basis of candidates’ CAT percentile and marks scored in Class X and Class XII Examinations.  Candidates with the following undergraduate degrees receive extra weightage:
    • B. Com. (Hons.)
    • B. A. (Hons.) (Economics)
    • B. A. (Hons.) (Business Economics)
    • BBE
    • BBS/BMS
    • BFIA/BBA (FIA)
  2. The following weightage-system is followed for short-listing for GD/PI:
    • CAT Percentile - Weightage – 75%
    • Marks obtained in Class-X - Weightage – 10%
    • Marks obtained (best of four) in Class-XII - Weightage – 7.50%
    • Marks obtained in Mathematics/Business Mathematics in Class-XII Examination Weightage – 2.50%
    • Candidates with the above mentioned Graduate Degrees - Weightage – 5%
  3. Final selection is based on CAT Scores, Marks scored in GD and PI, and Marks Scored in Class X and Class XII Examinations.
  4. The following weightage-system is followed for short-listing for final selection:
    • CAT Score - Weightage – 60%
    • Marks obtained in Class-X - Weightage – 5%
    • Marks obtained in Class-XII - Weightage – 5%
    • Marks obtained in Group Discussion - Weightage – 7.50%
    • Marks obtained in Personal Interview - Weightage – 20%
    • Candidates with the above mentioned Graduate Degrees - Weightage – 2.50% 
  5. Approx. the number of students called in each category is about 3 times the total number of seats in each category:
    • General - 41
    • SC - 12
    • ST - 06
    • CW - 04
    • PH - 02
    • OBC - 23
