Directorate of Centre for Distance Education (DDE)offers admission to M.A., M.Sc., MBA and Master of Valuation via Distance mode. University also offers the facility to pursue two courses simultaneously, one via distance mode and other via regular mode. Application for these courses is made online on the university website. The copy of application form and demand draft is to be sent to the University campus either by post or by a person. There is also the provision of acceptance of application form by the University along with the late fee. Students are also offered a study centre where they can visit and discuss their query with a mentor if any. In distance method education, University offers a SIM (Self Instructional material) to aspirants via whom students can reach the study material and assignments offered by the University. The application form is to be filled online and the fee for application form is to be paid in form of a Demand Draft. If aspirant fails to submit the application then University also accepts the application form with late fee.

MA
Duration: 2 years
Those aspirants who have done Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Commerce from a recognized University are applicable to the M.A. programme.
M.Sc
Specialisation: Mathematics
Duration: 2 years
Aspirants need to have been finished Bachelor of Sciences or Bachelor of Arts with mathematics in 2nd year securing minimum 55% marks are applicable for the M.Sc. programme.
MBA/PGDM
Duration: 2 year
Those aspirants who have done graduation in any stream securing minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category) are applicable for the MBA programme.
Course name: Master of Valuation
Specialisation: Real estate
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility: For Master of valuation in real estate aspirants having graduation in any stream are applicable to apply.
Application Procedure of DDE Kolhapur - Shivaji University MA, M.Sc, MBA Distance Admission 2018
Aspirants are needed to fill the application form on www.onlineshivajiuniversity.in. Entrance examination fee for each subject is INR 200 which is to be submitted in form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
Aspirants can also avail the copy of course directory by paying a sum of INR 100 to the University in form of cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
The application form along with the Demand Draft is to be submitted to the related department either by post/courier or by a person.
Note: If course directory is demanded via post then a sum of INR 30 extra is to be paid by the aspirants.

There is also a provision to accepted application form with a super late fee of INR 500.
Applications are accepted after the last date of submission with a late fee of INR 100.

If there are less than 10 aspirants allotted to an examination centre then that centre is subjected to cancellation and information regarding this will be made available on the University website.

Selection Procedure of DDE Kolhapur - Shivaji University MA, M.Sc, MBA Distance Admission 2018
Admissions are made on the basis of entrance test organizeed by the University. Those aspirants who have got selected need to appear in the related department along with the course fee to confirm their admission.
User facts
Centre for entrance test can be allotted in Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli. Aspirants can select the test centre according to their convenience and the allocation of same depends upon the availability.
Aspirants need to appear with a valid ID proof along with the hall ticket to the examination centre, failing which aspirants will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
Responses in the OMR sheet is to be made by black ball point pen only.
Once the merit list is announced by the University aspirants can apply for scrutinising the result, once the discrepancies (if any) is resolved by the University then a final merit list will be announced and admissions are to made on that basis only. 50% weightage to both aspects will be given for preparing merit list.
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of aspirants in the entrance test and qualifying exam. For MBA programme question paper will be of 150 marks and 90 minutes.
The period for the test is 90 minutes consisting 100 multiple choice questions. The total marks for the test are 100 and a merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of aspirants in the test as well as qualifying exams.
