Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAV) formerly known as University of Indore was founded in 1964 by an Act of Legislature of Madhya Pradesh. of Madhya Pradesh, the University flourishes on an enormous campus, covering 760 acres of land. The university is an ‘’A” grade university as accredited by NAAC. The university has more than 300 affiliated colleges. Holding the center of excellence award by Govt. The University provides admission to the following Under Graduate programs for the year 2016-17: It is a state public university recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE.

  • BPES(Physical Education and Sports)
  • BSW(Bachelor of Social Works)
  • BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)
  • B.Lib.Sc.(Bachelor of Library and Information Science)
  • B.Voc.( Bachelor in Vocation)

 Aspirants who have passed senior secondary school successfully in any stream can apply for the above mentioned Under Graduate programmes. Out of the total vacancies in different courses, seats are reserved for the aspirants belonging to the SC/ST/OBC categories/Kashmiri migrants/children of freedom fighters etc. Reservation of seats in courses provided by the university will be in accordance with the policy of Madhya Pradesh state.

Aspirants can register for admission by filling and submitting the online application form along with the need documents and necessary procedure fee. Admission to Under Graduate Programmes shall be based on the merit of the aspirant in the entrance test followed by counseling.

General Eligibility Criteria:

  • The upper age limit for male aspirant applying for Under Graduate courses should not exceed the age limit of 22 years.
  • Relaxation of three years in upper age limit for SC / ST / OBC and physically handicapped aspirant who is the domicile of Madhya Pradesh only.
  • The age limit for the physically challenged category is 30 years, whereas there is no age limit for the female aspirants.

  • The aspirant has to appear and qualify in the entrance examination/counseling organized by the university.

    BCA – 60 seatAspirant should have cleared HSC examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects with 50% marks minimum from a recognized board of school education.
    BSW10+2 with 50% marks minimum from a recognized board or council.
    B.Voc. (Interior Design) – 50 seats

    BPES (Physical Education and Sports) – 50 seats10+2 with 45% marks minimum from a recognized board or council.

Step To Apply

The aspirants can apply for admissions to above Under Graduate courses by filling and submitting the complete online application form along with the need amount of procedure fee and important documents on or before. Admission form can be filled via MP Online portal by following the following steps:

  • Aspirants are advised to check and ensure the eligibility criteria before applying for admission.
  • Login to www.mponline.gov.in  and fill up all correct details in Application Form.
  • Attach the required Document required with the application form.
  • Pay the application fees of is Rest. 750/- (SC/ST Rs.400/-) via available online methods.
  • Submit the application form online.
  • The hardcopy of the application form duly completed in all respect along with required documents should be submitted to the concerned department.
  • Aspirants must keep the photocopy of application form for future reference.

Aspirants are directed to submit the self-attested copies of the following documents along with the application form

  •  Caste Certificate, wherever applicable.
  •  Mark sheet/Certificate of the qualifying examination
  • Certificate showing date of birth.
  • Other relevant documents
  • Domicile Certificate


  • The aspirants  appearing in the entrance test have to bring hall ticket and identity proof at the  entrance examination center

Admission Procedure

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib], Bachelor of Physical Education [B.P.E] & Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA]

Aspirants are selected for above Under Graduate Programs on the basis of the merit of the aspirant to be determined by the university authority on the basis of the entrance test. The selected aspirants must bring along the application form, and following photocopies and the originals of the documents for the purpose of verification:

  • Admit card
  • Other relevant documents
  • Character Certificate from the Dean/Head/Principal of the University/Institution last attended. 
  • Caste and creed certificate– if need
  • Migration Certificate from the competent authority of the University/Institution last attended
  • NOC –in case of employed aspirants
  • Scorecard of the entrance examination
  • Intermediate marks sheet and certificate
  • Under Graduate marks sheet and certificate- for B.L.I.Sc.
  • 6 passport size photographs
  • Marks Sheet of high school
  • High school certificate (age proof )

Fees Structure of DAV University

For B.L.I.Sc., entrance test shall be based on the syllabus of the Under Graduate level.


The aspirants who are selected for above Under Graduate courses on the basis of their merit in the entrance test need to participate in the counseling procedure. The entrance test shall be organized by the university itself followed by the counseling.

The entrance test shall be based on the syllabus of subjects studied in 10+2.

Reservation Table

The reservation of the seats is for the categories of MP only. The reservation of various categories is divided into two categories: vertical and horizontal reservation (category), which is below given in the tabular form:

  • One seat in each course is  reserved for the physically handicapped aspirants with disability percentage of 40 or above
  • One seat in each program shall be reserved for sons/daughters of the persons displaced from the state of Jammu and Kashmir settled in M.P. on or before 1st January 1999
  • Seats reserved for the ward of the DAV employee shall be decided as per the university guidelines


In order to offer financial assistance and praise to the aspirants, the university offers several means of scholarships to the aspirants. The university provides the following scholarships:

  • Merit scholarships
  • Scholarships for the ward of  landless agricultural labor
  • Scholarships are given by MHRD
  • Scholarships for SC/ST aspirants
  • Scholarships for the single girl child
