Christ University is a deemed to de university founded in Bangalore. There are six various faculties under which 22 Doctoral programmes, 42 PG programmes, 62 Undergraduate programmes and 16 M.Phil. Programmes successfully provideed by the university.  It is also accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Apart from Main Campus, Kengeri Campus and Bannerghatta Road Campus, Christ University is also situated in Pune (Lavasa Campus), Delhi (Ghaziabad Campus).

Christ University has six faculties, viz. Faculty of Engineering, Commerce and Management, Humanities and Social Science, Institute of Management, School of Law and Sciences. Christ University provides B.Tech in 7 branches, M.Tech in 6 branches and B.Tech Lateral in 4 branches. Selection is done on the basis of your performance in Group Discussion (GD) and Micro Presentation (MP), Written Assessment (WA), Verbal Assessment (VA) and finally by Individual Interview (PI).

The following section contains information regarding eligibility criteria for various courses provideed by Christ University.

BE/B.Tech

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) – Regular

Christ University provides four-year B.Tech programme in the following branches:

  • Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Automobile Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Programme:

You required passing your Senior Secondary Examination (+2 Board exam) with an aggregate of 50% from any recognised Board in India (Karnataka PUC, ISC, CBSE, IGCSE, NIOS etc.) or abroad. You must have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Class XII level with 50% marks in Mathematics.

If you are writing your Class XII board examination in March-May 2017, you may apply with your class X and Class XI marks.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) – Lateral Entry:

Via B.Tech Lateral Entry Program, you are applying to take direct admission in the Second year of your Engineering.

In Christ University, you can enrol yourself into following branch of Engineering via Lateral Entry:

  • B.Tech Civil Engineering
  • B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering.
  • B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
  • B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering. 

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Lateral Programme:

You required having successfully finished the 3-year diploma course in Engineering to apply for admission to lateral entry courses.

ME/M.Tech

Christ University provides four-year M.Tech programme in the following branch:

  • M.Tech. in Power Systems
  • M.Tech in Machine Design
  • M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering.
  • M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
  • M.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering.
  • M.Tech in Communication Systems

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech Programme:

You required to have a B.Tech/B.E degree with 55% aggregate marks from any University in India or abroad recognized by UGC/AIU.

If you are in your final year of your B.Tech/B.E you are applicable to apply for M.Tech Course offered that you have secured 55% or above aggregate in all the semesters/Years of Undergraduate Examination organizeed so far.


How to Apply for Christ University Bangalore B.Tech and M.Tech. Admissions 2018

Method of filling the admission application form:  Applications for admission to B.Tech and M.Tech courses in Christ University can be obtained exclusively from the official university website

Application form fees for B.Tech, M.Tech, and B.Tech Lateral Programme: INR 1000

For NRI/Foreign Nationals: US$ 100

Steps to fill in the Application form:

  1. Go to the official website and enter all details given on page one and then click on “Continue” button.
  2. You have to read the “Application fees Guideline” and then “Accept” the terms and condition by checking the box right beside “Accept”. Please fill the form cautiously and then click on to the “submit” icon.
  3. An editable page will appear on screen if in case you have filed some wrong information, you can accurate it and then click on “confirm Submission”.
  4. Once you have submitted your application form you will receive the application number and your date of birth with an option to print your application form.
  5. You required to print and sign the application form after filling further details on the printed application form. You are advised to keep a copy of the application for your future reference and you required to produce it at the time of selection procedure.
  6. Please send the printed application form along with copies of other documents mentioned in “Selection Process for B.Tech, M.Tech, and B.Tech Lateral Programme” Section through registered post addressed to:

You are advised to visit the campus from Monday to Friday between 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM and on Saturday please visit the campus in between 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Please click on “continue” icon.
  • You will land onto “Pre-requisite check” page where you will have to fill in the details.  Choose the method of payment which can either be SBI BANK Challan or online (CREDIT/DEBIT/NEFT/Internet Banking).
  • Once the application fees are paid you will have to fill your individual details, educational details, work experience etc. You must make sure that the application and supporting documents must access the office within 7 days of submitting the application online.

    Note: Do not forget to mark B.Tech, M.Tech, or B.Tech Lateral Programme (whichever programme you chose)”, on the top left-hand corner of the A4 size envelope for faster procedures of the application form.


  • Admission Procedure of Christ University Bangalore B.Tech and M.Tech. Admissions 2018

    The following section contains information regarding selection procedure for various courses provideed by Christ University.

    BE/B.Tech & ME/M.Tech

    Selection Process for B.Tech, M.Tech, and B.Tech Lateral Programme:

    If you meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned above then you required to appear in Group Discussion (GD) and Micro Presentation (MP). It is compulsory.

  • For (M.Tech Programme only), if you have finished your graduation on or before November 2017 you must carry original and one set of photocopy of Provisional degree certificates.
  • For (M.Tech Programme only), if you have graduated on or before June 2017 it is mandatory to carry Original and one set of photocopy of degree certificates (final convocation).
  • If available, you can carry a copy of transfer certificate from last qualified Institution.
  • If available, please keep a copy of migration certificate if you belong to some other state other than Karnataka.
  • If you are a foreign national, you required having a copy of passport and VISA page.
  • Once you have cracked your GD/MP round you shall be called for Written Assessment (WA), Verbal Assessment (VA) and finally for Individual Interview (PI), completing upon which you will be called for final counseling.

    You required to appear for the selection procedure on the allotted date and time mentioned on the selection procedure hall ticket with the following documents:

    1. The Selection procedure hall ticket is compulsory.
    2. Copy of the filled-in printed application form duly signed by the parent/guardian and the aspirant is compulsory.
    3. You required carrying one copy of SBI application procedures fee/ Challan/online payment acknowledgement slip.
    4. Please produce a valid Photo ID whenever asked. Do not forget to write your name and application number behind the photographs. You will not require having a photocopy of your photograph.
    5. You required having originals and one set of class 10, class 12 and degree marks card. (Driving License/Passport/Electoral ID/Aadhar Card).
    6. Two passport size (35mm x 45mm with white background-standard Indian passport pattern only) and two stamp size photograph.
