Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya (CGKV) is a state university founded on the April 11th, 2012 under the Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya Act, 2011. The University provides admission to following programs for the year: The University makes provision for the development of human resources by imparting education in the domain of veterinary and Animal Sciences. It is recognised by UGC. The university has 3 constituent colleges which are College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry situated at Anjora in Durg, College of Dairy Science and Food Technology situated at Raipur and a College of Fisheries situated at Kawardha.

Aspirants with the relevant qualification degrees can register for the above-mentioned programmes. Reservation rules eligible for to SC, ST, and OBC, female, physically handicapped, freedom fighter and other category aspirants shall be made eligible as per norms of the state government.

Aspirants can register for admission by filling the online application form and submitting the need processing fee, on or before the last date. Admission to some programmes is done on the basis of merit of the aspirant in Common Entrance Test (CET).

Eligibility:

  • Aspirants belonging to GEN /OBC /NRI should have obtained at least 60% marks /equivalent grade in the qualifying degree. Relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ST category aspirants.
  • The aspirant should have qualified B.V.Sc degree under 10+2+5 format from a recognised university.
  • The aspirant must not be below the age of 21 years as on December 31st of the admission year. 

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Dairy Science)

M.Sc. / M.Tech Dairying- 2 years

  • Dairy chemistry – 4 seats
  • Dairy Science and Food Technology– 4 seats
  • Microbiology – 4 seats
  • Dairy Engineering– 4 seats

Eligibility:

  • Aspirants should possess B.Tech (DT) /B.Sc. (DT /DH) /B.Tech food technology /B.Sc. microbiology under 10+2+4 format or B.V.Sc. Relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ST category aspirants.
  • The aspirant must not be below the age of 21 years as on December 31st of the admission year.

(Dairy Technology  /Dairy engineering /Agriculture engineering in agricultural procedure /food science and technology /biotechnology or animal biotechnology –with specialization in dairy food processing/ AH& D –with specialization in dairy science) / other concerned master’s degree 10+2+4 format from a recognised university.
    Relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ST category aspirants

    CGKV How To Apply for Ph.D. & M.V.Sc/M.Sc Courses

    MVSc

    The aspirants can apply for admissions by filling and submitting the clear application form along with the need amount of processing fee and important documents before the last date. No separate information will be given in this case.

    The aspirant should enclose the application form along with the following documents:

    • Caste/creed certificate in case the aspirant belongs to the SC/ST category of Chhattisgarh.
    • Demand draft of the application fee.

    NOTE:

    • The application fee for Master’s program (General/OBC Category) Rs.150/-(Rs. One hundred and fifty only)
    • The application fee for Ph.D. program ( SC/ST aspirants) Rs 50 (Rs. Fifty only)
    • The list of qualified aspirants will be declared on the website http://cgkv.ac.in/
    • The application fee for Master’s program (SC/ST aspirants) Rs 40 (Rs. Forty only)
    • The application fee for Ph.D. program (General/OBC Category) Rs.200/-(Rs. Two hundred only)
    The aspirant must log on to the university website: http://cgkv.ac.in/ and follow the following steps:

    • Download the application form cautiously with all the necessary information
    • The aspirant must check and must ensure  their eligibility before applying for admission
    • Paste the colored photograph at the given spot
    • Pay the application fee through demand draft drawn in favor of “Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya” payable at Raipur.
    • Aspirants can collect their hall tickets from the Anjora campus before the two hours of CET.
    • Send the clear application form enclosed in the envelope to the “Registrar, Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya, Durg -491001 (CG)”

    CGKV Admission Procedure for Ph.D & M.V.Sc/M.Sc Courses

    MVSc

    Aspirants are selected for above Post Graduate courses on the basis of the merit of the aspirant in the CET organized by the university itself.

    For Ph.D. admission, the aspirant is selected on the basis of the merit in the CET (70% weight) and qualifying degree (20 % to 1st class, 10% to 2nd class obtained at Post Graduate level and 10% to 1st class, 5% to 2nd class obtained at Under Graduate level)

    For SC/ST categories, marks need for admission shall be 5% less than that prescribed for general category.

    The CET shall be based on the syllabus studied by the aspirant in their respective mandatory subjects of UG/ Post Graduate qualifying degree

    Counseling Procedure

    The aspirants who are selected in the entrance examination are needed to participate in the interview/counseling procedure by reporting (in person only) to the Anjura campus. Such aspirants are directed to bring the application form, counseling fee and following photocopies and the originals of the documents for the purpose of verification:

    • Intermediate marks sheet and certificate
    • NOC in case of the employed aspirant
    • Under Graduate marks sheet and certificate
    • Caste and creed certificate– if need
    • Mark Sheet of high school
    • High school certificate (age proof)
    • Scorecard of CET
    • Migration Certificate from the competent authority of the University/Institution last attended
    • Other relevant documents
    • Post Graduate marks sheet and certificate
    • Character Certificate from the Dean/Head/Principal of the University/Institution last attended.
