Chettinad University or Chettinad Academy of Research & Education (CARE) was introduced by the Chettinad Group of institutions in 2005 Under SECTION 3 OF UGC ACT, 1956. Chettinad Academy of Research & Education has been accredited by NAAC. It is an integral part of the Chettinad Health City, a pioneering concept that strategically combines the best of Education, Research, and Healthcare delivery to offer synergy across the entire healthcare spectrum. The University can accommodate 350 students yearly.
Chettinad Academy of Research & Education has been accredited by NAAC. It is situated on the outskirts of Chennai. It offers library, hostel as well as laboratory facilities.
The University invites Applications for admission to the Bachelor of Science Programmes (B.Sc.) in different specializations, B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences Programme, B.Sc. Nursing Programme and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme for the academic year 2018-19. The admission to the Programmes will be based on merit. There are 25 seats per course. The B.Sc. programme is for a period of three years, B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences and B.Sc. Nursing, both for three years plus one-year internship in semester mode.

B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences Programme
The University provides the following specialties under B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences:
For all courses:
You should have passed HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent examination with one of the following subject combinations:
i) Physics, Chemistry, Biology
ii) Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.
Age (For all courses): You should have finished the age of 17 years on or before December 31st, 2018.Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Nursing)
You should have passed 10+2 Examination with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English personally and must have obtained a at least of 45% marks for general category and 40% marks for reserved category, taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination i.e., (10+2) from recognised Board under AISSE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.You should be medically fit.
If you are appearing in 10+2 examinations in Science organized by National Institute of Open School, you should be able to secure 45% marks to be applicable for admission.
Age: You should have finished the age of 17 years on or before December 31st, 2018.B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic)
You should have passed the 10+2 Examination with Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) an If you have passed 10+1 Examination, then also you are applicable for admission.
You must have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
You must also have a proof of training by Indian Nursing Council or equivalent in the following domain-

For all Programmes: You will be selected on the basis of merit.
