Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) Set up in 1988, C-DAC is a scientific society of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, carrying out Research and Development (R&D) in IT, electronics and associated areas. Different thematic areas of C-DAC's research include high performance computing, grid and cloud computing, multilingual computing, professional electronics, software technologies, cyber security, health informatics, ubiquitous computing, and education & training.

Admissions to all PG Diploma courses of C-DAC are done through C-DAC's computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT). Every year, C-CAT is usually conducted in June (for August admissions) and December (for February admissions).

Eligibility Criteria:

PG Diploma

  • Graduate in Engineering or equivalent (e.g. BE / BTech / 4-year BSc / AMIE / DoEACC B Level, etc.) in Electronics/ Computer Science/ IT or related areas, OR
  • Post Graduate in Engineering Sciences (e.g. MSc in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, etc.), OR
  • Graduate in any discipline of Engineering or equivalent, OR
  • MCA, MCM, OR
  • Post Graduate in Physics/ Computational Sciences/ Mathematics or allied areas, OR
  • Post Graduate in Management with graduation degree in Science/ IT/ Computers
  • The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying examination.

How to Apply?

The candidates will have to apply separately at C-DAC. The institute will accept only online Application. The process of filling up forms for seeking admission at C-DAC will remain open from Oct 29, 2017 to Dec 13, 2017. The Candidates pay Application Fee can be paid through online transactions using Credit / Debit / ATM cards / Online Banking.

Admission Process

Admission of the C-DAC Post Graduate Diploma Courses Depending on their C-CAT ranks, candidates will be allocated seats strictly based on the order of preferences of courses and centers given by them during the counselling.
