Calicut University (UoC) MBA Admissions 2018

University of Calicut offers 24 undergraduate 22 postgraduate programmes. The MBA Programme run by the University of Calicut at the Department of Commerce and Management Studies. Admission to MBA programme will start from December 02, 2017 (Tentative) and it will be closed on March 20, 2018(Tentative). It also offers full time and part time M.Phil. and research programmes. There are 28 postgraduate teaching and research departments.

Admission to MBA programme is based on KMAT Kerala entrance exam conducted by Kannur University or CMAT/CAT/MAT score, Interview and the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Calicut University will invite application for admission to MBA course after the announcement of the result of KMAT Kerala in the official website of Calicut University. The candidate those who wish to join the course can apply through the website.

Eligibility Criteria for UoC MBA Admissions 2018


You should have passed any bachelor degree with minimum 50% marks from the University of Calicut or any other university or institute recognized by the UGC or AICTE. If you have a bachelor’s degree from School of Distance Education, University of Calicut, then you are also eligible for MBA programme admission.

UoC MBA Admissions 2018 How to apply


Calicut University will invite application for admission to MBA course after the announcement of Kerala KMAT’s result in the official website of Calicut University. You should take a printout of the online receipt. There are given some points for online application submission.

  • You can click the button “PRINT” and take a printout of the application.
  • Note: It is not required to send the hard copy of the application form.

    The application form is displayed. There are given some following point to online application submission.

    • Login with the help of SB Collect Reference Number and Date of Birth.
    • You should pay application fee through online only by way of Netbanking/CreditCard/DebitCard facility of any of the banks.
    • Click on the button “Browse” and select the photograph file. The application fee for general category is Rs. 800/- and for the SC/ST candidate is Rs. 500/-.
    • Visit the official website of Kerala KMAT.
    • Click on the link ‘Login-FeeRemittedCandidate’.

    Application Fee:

    For General Candidates: INR 800/-

    For SC/ST Candidates: INR 500/-

    Apply online through the Calicut University website with the help of following steps:

    Step 1: Visit the official website of Calicut University.

    Step 2: Find the link "PG entrance 2018/MBA Admission 2018" for remitting fee and submitting the online application.

    Step 3: After submitting the online application, select the purpose "Application fee for MBA Admission 2018" while processing the Challan.

    Application Fee

    • For SC/ST Candidates: INR 167/-
    • For General Candidates: INR 500/-

    Step4: After payment, take a print out of filled application form.

    Submit Application Form

    You should have to send the printout of the application along with the original challan receipt and a self addressed Rs.5/- stamped envelope (26cmx15cm) directly to ‘The Head, Department of Commerce and Management Studies, Calicut University Campus, University of Calicut, Malappuram 673 635’ so as to reach the same on or before May 25, 2018.

    Application process for KMAT Kerala Entrance exam

    The application for KMAT Kerala should be submitted through online from December 02, 2016 (Tentative)onwards. The photograph file must be in jpg format with size less than or equal to 20 KB.
  • Now click on the button “Proceed”.
    • The last date for submitting the online application is March 20, 2018(Tentative).

      There are two stages of submitting the application.

      Stage 1: Remitting Application fee online

      • Click on the link “New Candidate- Remit Application Fee”.
      • Visit website
      • Fill all the required details such as Name, Age, Date of Birth(in DD/MM/YYYY format), Mobile Number and E-MailID and complete the online fee payment process. The details entered during online fee payment cannot be changed later.
      • Visit the official website of Kerala KMAT.

    Stage 2: Completing Online Application Submission

    You can fill online application after 24 hours of payment of application fee.

    UoC MBA Admissions 2018 Selection Procedure


    The admission to the MBA programme shall be made on the basis of the score in the entrance test called KMAT Kerala or CAT / CMAT conducted by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)/MAT, the marks of the Group Discussion, Personal Interview and the marks obtained by the candidates in the Plus Two /Pre-degree examination put together in the following proportion:

    The candidates will be ranked according to the following criteria:

    • Group discussion: 25 marks
    • Plus Two / PDC marks: 30 marks
    • Entrance test score: 120 marks
    • Personal Interview: 25 marks

    The minimum required test score is 10% (5% for SC/ST candidates) marks.

    The weight for Plus Two / PDC shall be based on total marks obtained by the students in all parts, (that is, languages and subjects or Part I, Part II and Part III) as follows:

    Up to 50% aggregate marks obtained in the plus two examinations: No Weight.

    From 50% to 55% marks5 Marks
    From 55.01% to 60% marks15 Marks
    From 60.1% to 65% marks15 Marks
    From 65.1% to 70% marks20 Marks
